I ordered Seattle 2 and Missoula on 9/18/18. Still not received.
Yet, I see people on here posting photos of their Chicago cd's which were ordered at least a week after my order.

I find it funny that people expect a company called Nugs to move at any speed other than a snails pace.

No disrespect to Nugs, I simply do not understand buying a CDR.  I always just buy the flacs and burn them on my own. Paying nugs extra to burn the cd for you is like paying ticketmaster for a convenience charge on each individual ticket when you make one purchase...oh wait !!!!

im super lazy and mostly unorganized and i use to collect many hundreds of flac files that i still have on a hard drive somewhere... today i just want a hard copy cd/cdr with official cardboard cd holder. it's simple!
and i used to wait 6 months for 7th gen live cassette tapes...so waiting on nugs isn't  a problem at all   ;)

It's more about the packaging for me, too. If they were sending a couple blank burned discs I wouldn't buy that.

exactly....it's done, it's in a nice PJ package with a nice PJ sticker that I don't have to mess with myself.  Totally worth it

IF they got a large initial order for some of the stadium shows...
they MAY be doing a batch of replicated silver pressed CD's instead of CD-Rs.
They did this for a couple of the baseball stadium boots in 2016,
so it could explain the longer than usual wait.

What is really the difference with a CD and CDR in terms of quality and pressing (okay, I know it isn't pressed, burned I guess?).
I just know that CDs are supposed to last longer, but is that the only difference? is it easier/cheaper to burn a CDR? I assume, otherwise why do it?

I don't know if it is necessarily cheaper, I think it has more to do with the on-demand element of it, at least for nugs.  Instead of sitting on thousands of copies of plated/pressed/whateverthehell for a CD, the CDR can by burned as an order comes in, likely more economical for say older shows that just get bought on a whim.

But in any event, the download is more useful to me personally.  Always have the master, can do with it as I please.  Etc.

Most of my 20 year old disks are still ok. I’d say 10% of my really old disks are starting to get some digital crackling noises.

How do you burn the flac file to a CD?  I assume you need a special program?

I looked into that a few years back and gave up.  I'm either too technologically ignorant or just lazy.  Or both.

Any Lossless codec needs to be converted to a wav file (preferably, some lesser evolved primates may go straight to mp3) before it can be burned onto a CDr that will play in most compact disc players.

I don't want to pass judgement on anyone, I doubt it is ignorance, it usually just boils down to laziness.  With me at least when I don't want to go further to do something.

Audacity is a code converter of lossless codecs like Flac to wav

Is there any difference in ordering from this site or nugs directly? I just don't know if shipping varies or if ordering directly is really any faster.

If you order cd’s directly from Nugs, then you also have access to stream any of your purchases.
If you order cd’s through PJ, then you are stuck waiting weeks for the shipment and can’t listen to the stream in the meantime (or ever).

And if you buy the digital files. Buy them off here. You get a lot longer time to DL the shows, then the 3-4 days Nugs gives you.

Seattle I made it to Canada today.  It's a cd-r.  Nicely done, but a little bummed they didn't do initial silver pressed runs like they did for the '16 stadium shows :(

I agree that cd-r suits the business model (as they don't want to sit on inventory nobody wants), but it was cool getting a silver-pressed.   Still even with a cd-r, it's a much nicer package than I'd create at home.

Are all your cdr images crooked as shit?  Looks like a drunkard did the art images on each of the 12 individual disks I’ve received.

I'd buy these CDs still if they came with a digital code.  But for $20 and no code, it's too expensive.
