    I think he said soup.

I made some chicken tortilla soup tonight. note to self: don’t rub face/eyes after dicing jalapeños. motherf**ker!!!

A few years ago, I did this after cutting a habanero. Legitimately a top 3 pain of my life, if not 1. Stood in the shower for a half hour forcing my eye open under cold water. Fuck me
Taking a piss is not recommended either.

I have done the same. It was worse than the time I accidentically pepper sprayed myself (long story, not worth telling either).

    Went out for BBQ.

Memphis-style dry ribs. BBQ beans. Mac n cheese. Slaw. Fries. Cornbread. Hush puppies. Frito pie.

    Blow your balls off good.

Yeah, all sauce for now.  I did a gallon and a half or so of salsa, the rest of the sauce will be batches of chili and stuffed peppers.  I always say I might make a batch of ketchup, but I never do.  I've made a few spaghetti sauces but I've never been satisfied with the result.  I've lost track of how much I've laid by, when the tomatoes die back soon I'll dig it all out of the deep freeze and see how much I've got.  My propane burner is busted so I can't can it, it's all frozen this year.  Works well enough, though not as convenient or aesthetic for later.

No, I don't think I do.  Self tasing....a story behind that but chalk it up to drunken shennanigans.  I have not maced myself, although I discussed letting my wife mace me so that she could practice with her pepper spray gun.  Will for sure get video and share with you, Wobbie, if I do it . More scared of that one than tasing....tasing stops hurting right away.  Macing seems like it would hurt for a while

Not like that, Wobinator.  You can use the cucumber however you like

Like this....prepped while making breakfast for the kids today.
Cabbage rolls with a lentil/rice/onion mixture.
    Will steam them tonight.

    The Wife:
That's great but you are making something else, as well, right?
    Yes.

I think they are going to be awesome
...and yet another good vehicle for hot sauce.

The fall weather showed up today in the Twin Cities. So the wife, who is a master at throwing things together and making them taste fantastic, whipped this up. All beef garlic sausages roasted in the oven with brussel sprouts, yams, and purple sweet potatoes. She also added a little mixture of apple cider vinegar, maple syrup, and butter to finish it off. It was very, very good!

Sounds good. Especially since we got our first frost this morning so it is chili weather here. Thanks for the idea for tomorrow’s dinner.

Missed this.  So kinda weak on the spice front.  It was for a group, so just used a few jalapenos and some cayenne.  Also, was soft on the hot sauce game given we were at the shore and my fridge isn't completely stocked there yet.

Just some extra jalapenos on top with Tabasco.

I was inspired to make some Chili Non Carne (my month long pescatarian kick ends on Friday....I am going to fuck up some wings) on Sunday and it was mild.  Added some habanero slices and hot sauce when serving and that shit was great.
Gassed the house all day, into yesterday.  The gift that keeps on giving!

Ordered some 'Exhorresco' hot sauce after seeing the Hot Ones lineup reveal last week.  Looking forward to trying -- since it wasn't on the Heatonist site it was nice and cheap.

    Delicate squash!  So good!
I don't have any markets around that sell it and I haven't found any plants at my greenhouses in a few years.  Going to have to start my own from seed this year because miss delicata and Hubbard.

Holy crap!  Spot #9 in the new season of Hot Ones is frigging blazing.
    Exhorresco!
Some of you crazy spice heads would love it but this is going to last a long time in my fridge.

^^ That shit grows on a fool.  Followed up with heavy doses w/dinner the next few nights.  Very hot, but a different hot, and it goes away fairly quickly.  (Although it is felt "on the way out" lol)

Will try to pop a pic tonight -- ending my month long 'pescatarian' kick in style.  Old Homestead Steakhouse @ the Borgata.  Gotham Rib Eye 34 oz?  Not sure if I can handle that, may go for a bacon app and 10 oz filet.  Save room for beer.

Bacon, clams casino, giant shrimps, (3) 18 oz filets, and a four pound lobster for our table of four.

Visited my parents today. Mom rolled out a straight up Thanksgiving turkey dinner with carrot cake to cap it off.  I’m uncomfortably stuffed.
