Feel like this is many fans’s least favorite album...I love it, it’s a fun, punky record. I got my now wife into PJ in 2013 and this is one of her favorites too....top songs off the top of my head:

Although the album is in the bottom 3 for me, I enjoyed just mixing it up a little with Got Some at Fenway 1. It was refreshing. I'm just Ten'd out..no offense to Ten.

I never listen to studio version of Ten, totally burned out on hearing Even Blow every show, they have literally killed that song for me. 16 shows I have attended & I have gotten Even Flow 16 times, that totally sucks

Love this album, don't understand the hate and bad vibes it gets. Is it short? Yes. Is it simple? Yes. Is it fun? Yes. Sure, it might not be as deep as No Code, as daring as Vitalogy, or iconic as Ten but it's still a good album on its own merit.
I'd go with tracks 5-9 as being my top 5, with Amongst the Waves being my favorite (it's in my top 10 all-time PJ songs). I'm not a fan of The End but it's really tough to leave out any of the other 5 tracks from a top 5, so they all get honorable mentions.

The Fixer —- love it. Pop PJ at their finest? Yes but with one of the most defiant Eddie chrouses ever. “Fight to get it back again” pretty much defines Pearl Jam to me. When i heard my then teen daughter and her friends discover this song on vh1 i was proud as hell. They rocked it. Because of the Fixer they discovered Immortality, etc
Just a great time period personally. Love the ballads, the anthems, the quick rockers. Speed of Sound (demo) would have put the album over the top. And that line in Force of Nature “Makes me ache. Makes me Shake”. Powerful ten seconds.

if they had used the speed of sound demo instead or went that direction with the full band version I think this would be a totally different album vibe for the better. Never liked the way speed of sound ended up sounding.
