Looking over the setlist, it looks like everyone was treated to one heck of a show tonight!!! Really wish I could be there, and hope that this moving, touching, and emotional request makes it into the setlist for night 2!

    Who wants to Smile tonight?
Met with Drew and his lovely bride a couple times yesterday and they’re such fantastic people.  It’s amazing how you can connect with someone through a common love of music.

Im sorry you didn’t get Smile last night my friend but we certainly got a fantastic show last night.    Travel home safe my friend.   I’ll be in touch.

I'm really sorry you didn't get to hear Smile.

I say we keep this on the front page until Monday! Although, you won't be there to hear it live, you can always cherish the bootleg if they surprise you.

I am home in Charlotte today, and I want to thank you all.
Ironically, some of the most important supporters of this thread are also names of the band... Matt from VC.  Ed from NY.  Mike from Philly.
All we need is a Jeff and a Stone... and we'd have an impromptu PJ band to support a Monday Smile.

    Smile, Smile, Smile Monday Wrigley.
I wish I could have stayed... and I literally cried when I got home to Charlotte today.

I had SO, SO, SO, SO much fun dancing my ass off with you all five rows from the rail... AMAZING experience I will NEVER forget!

Mike from Philly is in charge of passing out my SMILE stickers if they play it during the show.
He's also supposed to tell Ed I was at the Saturday show...  I put Mike in charge.

Lost my mind when they saw the sign and played it!!!! Wish it was at the show you guys were at, but at least they played in when I was there supporting you guys.

(That whole Smile, Evil Little Goat, and Leash section of the show was INSANE!)

Can’t wait to get the sticker and I hope you guys at least enjoyed hearing you got it. I’ll posts vids of it here if I see any!

    Just a heads up.
I've put the last remaining SMILE stickers on Ebay to raise money for ALS.

Please head over to the ACTS page and place your bid.

    Only 7 Stickers left.

Let everyone know... I know they aren't really the best quality.   Not coated or die cut.   This was the only way I could print them on such short notice.   Don't put it on your car or outside or anywhere that might get heavy traffic.    They were just freebies for me to give away to THANK YOU and everyone else who supported this request.

Smile was on the set list.   So, hopefully..... even though Ed said it was because of the sign... hopefully it was for my dad.

Even though I wasn't at Wrigley N2... they played SMILE nonetheless.

I am paying it forward to hear RELEASE opener for Derek... diagnosed with ALS.

    THIS MESSAGE IS FROM EVOLUTION_99

    Hello Pearl Jam Family,

I'm a long time ten club member and a fan since the beginning.  I haven't posted much to the forum in the past, but do check in and keep up on everything PJ related.  I'm here to ask a favor of the community.

My dear friend and fellow PJ fan Derek was diagnosed with ALS over a year ago.  He's 43 and a father of 3 and the progression of the disease has been quick.  It breaks my heart to see this disease take so much from him.  He's an amazing person and doesn't let this stop his positive outlook on life and he is an inspiration to me.  In positive news, he's currently well enough to make the trip to Fenway night 1 with his wife and I bought them accessible seats that will make the night a little easier.  I'll be there helping them get to their amazing seats that are wheelchair accessible (thank you to Live Nation for helping him get seats in Turf A2!).  This show will most likely be his last seeing the band and a well deserved night away for him and his wife.  I had one request and was really hoping the band could open with Release and dedicate it to Derek, as its his favorite song and his night to release from everything.  I've seen posts like this in the past get some traction and make it to the band and hoping Derek's PJ family can help do that here.  THANK YOU for reading this and for any support you can give.

If you care to read more about this amazing person, Derek and his wife they've started a blog  https://www.standblu.com/  You can read more and if you're so inclined you can make a donation to help them cover medical cost.  They're being burdened with hundreds of thousands in medical bills, a move to an accessible house, and a family that will lose their father too soon.  Thank you for considering this and reading about my friend.

All the best to the PJ community and thanks in advance for your support.  See you at Fenway.

    Chris Pelletier

    So...
I just reached out to my friend.   I have a very loose connection to the Gleason Foundation and I just reached out to see if we can help getting this request in the hands of Pearl Jam .

Good Luck Derek!  Hope to see you in Boston.

Steve's wife Michel got my email and read  Chris' message about Derek...

Not 100% that it will happen, but at least we've got an inside voice.
