As someone who completely lost the lottery in 2016, that last minute drop was huge. I know what you're saying, but this is a much better solution than just releasing them to the general public.

These were probably in the bucket for friends/family and can't attend. Be glad they released them to the 10c as opposed to TM.

interesting - I did not get notified.  Is it because I already had 10C tickets?

I almost pulled the trigger on better seats, but I pretty much watched the video screens the whole show in 2016 from section B. Unless you upgraded the section A you probably will be watching the screens from everywhere in the venue

Exactly.  It’s really remarkable what people will complain about without knowing anything at all.

If you're gonna be like that about it, then just take this as a lesson for next time. Enter the lottery to secure seats in the building or roll the dice on a last minute ticket drop. Depends on your appetite for risk.

Be like that?, it was the post above being like that, accusing me of knowing nothing.  All I said was 20+ years of fan club dues and $250 of my hard earned dollars for crappy seats that I couldn't choose is not cool.
I get the anger but this is how it works. Fenway gives 10 club a large amount of tickets for their draw. The venue have other allotments for VIP/verified fan/season ticket holders to sell as well. Before the show these tickets from those groups that are not being claimed get thrown back in the mix. These have nothing to do with 10 club tickets. I am sure if 10 club had there way they would have all field seats and the best lower bowl seats to be had. They are lucky to get as many tickets as they did imo and yes some are shitty seats. They warned us before we bought them. If you had a high number you should have done your research imo and found out where others sat with your number the last time there was a show. Then you should have predicted that you would be even further back then that this go around with more tickets given. Hope you still enjoy the show.

I'm also high in the grandstand on N1 and immediate reaction was frustration at this news.  But on the other hand without the certainty of what I've had for months I wouldn't be in a position to go at all, so I see both sides. One thought though is with mobile tickets they probably could have upgraded existing seats on some type of first come first serve basis and then sold the worse seats in the new sale. Perhaps that is too tough to coordinate in a short time but if a man can go to the moon this must be solvable.  Anyway it is what it is so everyone enjoy the show from wherever you happen to be!

Exactly.  I'm 2nd to last row in the grandstand with a pole likely blocking the view (what limited you have with the roof anyway). When I saw the email my first thought was why not upgrade those who "won" the lottery for better seats.  Instead, I can drool at better seats now available while be stuck with 2 tickets I can't get rid of or eat the cost.  Eating the cost is not an option.  Terrible.

Since you giant cry babies posted to a second thread - I'll cross post my response from the  original whine fest thread:

Love this band, but the fan base has reached critical levels of crybaby bullshit.  If you complain about ticket availability, seating priority, ticket pricing, merch availability, venues, any of it, you are absolutely lost as a music fan.  No system is perfect but we have it as good as any group of fans could have it.  Quit the crying and entitlement. Its gotten so tired. Try public sale for tickets, let us know how it works out.  Don't like the tickets or merch? Save your money and buy a time machine instead. You can physically get yourself back to 1994 where your mentality is living.

For the fans who can still be happy about seeing the band, happy about being a good part of the community, are smart enough and logical enough to know  that there are 10 different kinds of ticket allotment (fan club, credit card pre-sale xyz, radio station pre-sale xyz, venue , artist, promoter) I say good on you. I'll happily see you out on the road at shows.

  • I'm not seeing a good spot to post this, and I do sort of get the better/worse seats argument or complaint, but I kind of feel like you take what you get when you get it because you never know if something better will open up. If you had waited it might never have, right?

Anyway, when I got this email for seats I kind of started looking right away. I never thought there would be a chance to go to these shows. Went to both Seattle and Missoula because I could get there all in a week and do three shows at once, which I had never done before. I have low priority so I got my seats and never even looked at any other sales. Nothing was bad at those shows, though. As I keep rambling, my wife gave me the go to go to Boston 2 by myself. Travel actually wasn't that bad and we can swing it if I just go. I feel a little guilty about doing it, but I think it's happening. I got a ticket that's in the seats but in the first row down the third base line. Again, just me going.

I'm pretty freaking excited about a fourth show on this tour and in a third different place. Definitely a total bucketlist for me. So I guess if anything see it as others, who are Ten Club members, get a chance to do something like this!
