Older Fender Hot Rod Deluxe setup. Redone by local Luthier

hey guys,

im somewhat new to the electric guitar( Christmas 2017). I recently purchased an Older Hot Rod Deluxe from my local Luthier.  He is known for doing great work. He said he replaced all the Chinese parts and other stuff, basically I had no idea what the hell he was talking about. Anyways,  I need some help on settings for it.  I can’t find a happy medium without blowing my wife’s ears out.

My gear

redone Fender Hot Rod Deluxe

Fender MIM Nashville Deluxe maple board
Fender 92 SRV strat Brazilian rosewood board

ibanez Tube Screamer TS808
ibanez tube screamer ts9
cry baby wah pedal.

I’ve read about pre amp and all this and I’m totally lost on how/ where to hook it up. I just want it to sound decent  any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Kyle

What exactly are you trying to figure out? You just need to keep the master volume basically all the way down. If you're looking for dirty tones out of the amp, push the "volume" knob as well as the drive, just keep the master down. You may find that even that is pushing it in volume, but that's how it'll be generally with amps that size

I’m trying to find out if I just plug in to my input and then through my pedals to my guitar or another way

I'm curious to know how the Hot Rod Deluxe sounds.
