Double openers

Can we please talk about the double openers?  How do you feel about them? Which is your favorite opening combo?

My favorite:  Go --> Animal

————
Other double openers:

Long road  --> Release (or Release --> Long road)
Oceans --> Footsteps
Pendulum --> Low light

    Sure. There's only one opener every night, the first song of the show. By definition. Everything else is nonsense.

    And the next night....

    Two slow opening-opening-songs in a row feels weird.

    I don't have any problem with Release-Nothingman or Pendulum-Lowlight. As in starting slow.

    But Release-Long Road is a weird combo, with them both being such super-openers.

    Go-Animal fits together like Alone-Sad, Untitled-MFC and Lukin-Not For You =

    How about Long road - Release? Much better than Release - Long road in my humble opinion.

    Not a fan of two slow openers

    if you’re doing Release or Long Road or Sometimes you need to blast into Brain of J or Hail Hail

    We were at both of those, too, and were thrilled with the double openers.

    Not sure I’d classify many of these as double-openers, but some of my favorite one-two punches:

    Long Road -> Corduroy (Camden ‘98, my first show)
    Of the Girl -> Breakerfall (Camden ‘03)
    Wash -> Go (Camden ‘06)
    Why Go -> Last Exit (Philly Halloween ‘09)
    Once -> Animal (Philly ‘16)
    Low Light -> Release (Wrigley 2013)

    Agreed. It worked for me. I was lucky enough to catch Wash / Sometimes in OKC which was pretty awesome too. First time I caught Sometimes besides Ed solo.
