Poster trade question- damaged in transit?

Justbwanted to know what the etiquette is on a trade. I made a trade my London 1 for London 2 poster.
Received the poster damaged with a 2 inch tear in corner. The Poster was not packed in craft paper and loose in the tube. It was most likely damaged by banging around in tube. The Tube is completely unblemished.
So do I ask for my poster back and send back the damaged poster or am I crap out of luck?
Feel like the sender did not pack the tube properly.
Thanks.

Definitely ask to swap back as this wasn’t how it was described, I’d be pissed.

    good luck

Doubt it was damaged by movement inside the tube. Probably when it was being put in or was damaged already.

If it wasn’t packed correctly I think you have a good claim to ask for your poster back.

You might just want to ask for $35 + your cost of shipping from the trade person, then just order one when it drops in the 10c shop.  I would doubt it sells out fast at all.  Heck, the variant AP didn’t sell out in 30 min...

I had a similar situation where a poster wasn't packed well but the poster wasn't torn, just badly bent.  I reached out to the other person and he sent me a second random PJ poster he had to compensate for the issue.  There should be a fixed tutorial link on the forums on how to properly pack a poster for shipping (in craft paper, craft paper cut to appx. size of the tube so that it doesn't slide around or have to be crumpled to jam into the tube).

Currently in the middle of a paypal dispute over a poster that was scuffed to hell on arrival. Apparently ‘transit’ damage. Hmmm

In my opinion, it is the seller’s responsiblility to get the poster to the buyer safely.

I always pack posters with craft paper (on back side of print) and a piece of acid-free tissue paper covering the front side of the print to prevent scuffing.
