I don't see a thread for this yet. Random /100 colored.

A Newbury Comics exclusive - our limited edition 180g black pressing is the only standalone vinyl release of this recording. 100 copies of a Fenway color variant (1 Blue LP, 1 Red LP) have been pressed and will be shipped randomly to a lucky few who order this release.*

A special performance recorded at the tail end of the mythic Vs. tour, Live at the Orpheum Theatre showcases a dream setlist created especially by the Pearl Jam crew and has for years been one of the most sought-after recordings among serious aficionados.

Still frustrates me how incomplete this particular release was/is.

yep, but that blue/red one isn't.  I've always wanted this show, even if it isn't complete.

This is cool for those looking for the show but never wanted to spring for the box set.

Yep.  Wasn't into vinyl back when the box set was released so this is perfect for me.

I know in theory that you can only buy five copies, but I'm wondering how many some people will really buy to try and get a colored version. What other legitimate PJ vinyl has been released in an edition of 100 or less?

There was a Moore splatter? I thought it was just the Sonic Evolution.

Regarding this,  anyone know the total pressing size? I didn't see it.

Anything different with this version than the vinyl in the Vitalogy boxset?

Anyone notice that the release date coincides with the band's arrival in Boston for the Fenway shows?  Could be coincidence, an intentional nice touch......or?????  The Orpheum appears to be available on 8/31 and 9/1.

  • So as a Newbury Exclusive will there be a limited run of the black vinyl as well? Just curious on how the value would hold on those if I were to pre-order 5. Thanks!

It was already released once, so I doubt the black vinyl will retain much value

I see that this was your first post here on the forum.....but we don't buy extras of PJ items simply for the future prospect of value appreciation.

Last time Newbuy had a PJ related release (blue Singles soundtrack) it was 1000. A thousand of this would put your odds of getting a fenway variant at 1 in ten...which is nice...if you bought 5, you have a 20% chance. good luck. I bought one copy only.

My guess is that the pressing will be 5k, so you and all of the other people buying multiple copies will be looking to dump all of their extra copies. Face value or lower is what you should expect. That could all change if the whole pressing is a lot lower.
