Title says it..

Mine:

3: Berlin 2 2012.. The fact that we had seats in the nosebleeds and that no one else in our section were rocking out, and this still cracks my top 3 is kind of crazy.. But the setlist was just fantastic, the sound was crisp and the boys were super tight and focused all night..! I've had seats 4 times and this was the only time I was was able to completely lose myself and just rock out like I was in the pit..!

2: Krakow 2018. Sick setlist, tight as fuck performance, incredible sound in the tauron arena and my only time at the rail so far. My favorite versions of several songs. (Not for You, Porch, C.Numb come to mind) A handfull of songs into the show, you could tell this was not just any show. This was just a perfect night and I cannot wait for this boot!

1: Vienna 2014. The combination of the setlist, the performance, the sound, the crowd and the length of the show makes this my favorite experience so far. They opened with Long Road-Can't Keep-Black and as Black faded out, Ed mumbled "it'll be a good night" into the mic.. As they came back for the first encore, Ed told us how bad the place sounded at soundcheck, but how we had helped it sound great and "now it's one of the best nights"..

(My first show, Hamburg 2000, deserves a mention as well.. I had no clue what to expect at a PJ show and was completely mindblown..! It was a life changing event)

Your turn!

Hamburg 2000, Berlin 2006, Copenhagen 2007, Berlin 2009, Berlin 2010, Berlin 1+2 2012, Copenhagen 2012, Amsterdam 1+2 2014, Vienna 2014, Berlin 2014, Prague 2018, Krakow 2018

    1. Las Vegas 2000: My first show. The 10th anniversary show. Crown of Thorns
    2. Gorge 05: Acoustic set to start. Best venue in the country.
    3. Benaroya Hall 04: Ridiculous acoustics. Still get chills when I hear that version of Black.

Only been to 10 shows and am having a hard time making a top 3. No clue how others with more shows are able to do it. In no order and a little cheating.

Toronto 1 / 2011 - great show and Neil Young!
Lincoln, NE, 2014 - tough to say why I enjoyed this so much, but near perfect setlist for me.
Barrie 1998 - first show - from the opening of Corduroy onwards it was fantastic!

Boston 4/11/94 - My first real concert. I have a really shitty version of that bootleg that I listened to for years. I'd love for this to be a vault release someday, but not holding my breath.

Alpine Valley 2003 - Perfect weather outside, Saturday in the summer....they came out early before it even got dark and it felt like they played forever. Just a great mix of songs and amazing versions. Plus we were 5th row dead center.

United Center May 2006 - Cheating and putting both these shows together. Best seats I've ever had, front row dead center both nights (before they started the lottery). Great opening band (My Morning Jacket) and completely different sets both nights. Most memorable was probably Crown of Thorns, had never heard that one live before.

This is too hard right now.  The most recent shows are definitely up there, but I want to listen to the official bootlegs before I can make up my mind :)

I keep thinking about Barcelona & Krakow 2018, they were really wonderful.  They will probably join the ranks with Lisbon N1 & Milan 2006, Dusseldorf 2007, and Leeds 2014.
2006: London Astoria, Lisbon I & II, Paris, Verona, Milano
    2007: Wembley, Dusseldorf, Copenhagen, Nijmegen

St Louis 98 - great set, first show and I look back on songs that I haven’t heard love since.

Chicago 09 Night 2 - amazing setlist, hard to imagine to open. Just a killer show.

Wrigley 2 - best opening 10 songs ever!

Quebec City 2016 - the city was electric, the arena had great acoustics, row 2 in front of Mike...and that setlist!

Vancouver 2013 - Oceans opener, 1st time GA, over 3 hours!

Pemberton 2016 - Beautiful backdrop, Release opener, not a typical festival setlist. One of the best sounding bootlegs!

Sorry, I cheated and listed 4...I don't care to admit how long I debated Showbox (sheer excitement of being in a tiny club with PJ) and Charlottesville (which may have been the best setlist I've seen since the 90s) before realizing they were both earth shaking in their own ways.
this city is so filthy, like my mind in ways
