What show? I am seeing them in Atlanta. And that show is on my birthday, so it is going to be a good time.

I have seen them once before at a festival and I was hooked. They are amazing

think i posted about them in the new band suggestion thread but good to see they have their own thread.  Their last album was produced by Julian Casablancas

Forgot I made a thread for these guys! Every album is amazing and really quite unique from each other. Brooks has one of the best voices I have heard live. He was getting over being sick when I saw them this fall and you could hardly tell. Even got the setlist at this show.

On one hand, I love The Growlers. I saw them for the first time on my college campus way back in 2008 or 2009 and have seen them countless times since. They've gotten pretty big over the years - most recently they've sold out multiple nights at The Wiltern in LA - but my favorite memories of them are at tiny little bars where you could get up on stage and dance with them during their set and hang out with them over a beer after a show. Somewhere I have pictures of myself chillin on their tour bus and playing basketball on the hoop they used to have hanging off the back window.

On the other hand, I hate The Growlers. I lost a girl I was madly in love with to the singer of an opening band at a Growlers show once upon a time. I also recall an interview in which Brooks (the lead singer) was asked what band he would like to wipe from existence, and his answer was Pearl Jam.

    Talk about a love/hate relationship.

I did a search one time to see if PJ/Growlers paths had ever crossed or if either band had mentioned each other. When I did I think I found the interview you are talking about, but I want to say it was said in a joking manner because of the reason he gave?... hmmm I will have to find it again

Natural Affair is their newest album released this year. And in typical Growlers fashion... it is fantastic! Some of their best stuff honestly. Check out Truly or Shadow Woman or Die and Live Forever. Masterful.

From Charlotte this year. A fight actually broke out briefly at this show. Talk about unexpected at a Growlers show! But other than that, it was another great night.
