Just saying something like that isn't actually treason, is it?? I think you have to do more than that to commit that crime. I'm not saying he's not a traitor, just that him making a comment about America like that doesn't amount to it legally as far as I know. He can trash talk America and praise Russia all he wants without committing a crime, no?
    treason
    ˈtriːz(ə)n/
    noun
the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill or overthrow the sovereign or government.

I dont know of the legalities of it, but I'm not sure how any right-minded American, Republican or Democrat, could stand behind what Trump did today. There should be an immediate bi-partisan backlash in Congress. He should be impeached.
Yes, of course. I think anyone who supports Trump now, or at any point in the past, is a complete asshole and stupid as hell. But so far he has not committed an act of treason........ that we know of, factually. Of course that doesn't mean he hasn't committed treason at some point. I was just responding to the comments about his words today amounting to an act of treason. They did not...... I actually really really wish they did, lol. Maybe then he'd actually get impeached.
Totally agree with you on “treason” but not on support. I am not stupid as hell or a complete asshole. The alternative choice matters. The alternative choice is not better.
Hm. Well, let's agree to disagree on that one.
As for you... you are just a grade-A troll by your own admission, so do not qualify either way.

Hold on. I’m doing “red scare”? Are we on the same planet today? This message board believes Trump is the Manchurian candidate. In terms of the “epic fail” I believe it is coming...I have said so from the beginning. Trump is a symptom of the epic fail...not the cause. He is the hail mary pass. You can dress up “democratic socialism” all you want but it is the debt crisis brought on by social programs that will trigger this epic fail. Democratic socialists want more of these programs...they want more of this spending. I don’t see how Trump can right the ship but I believe he will go down with a fight. Step 1 stop the stagnation and create growth. Step 2 cut the spending. Step 3 get america and the world to wake up and buy in.

You are on to tackling Step 1. There is no sign of fixing step 2. No chance of fixing step 3.

The epic fail will happen. It won’t be pretty. But it won’t be due to capitalism. It will be due to the debt bomb brought on by your every wish.

Now the question is collectively what should we all do about it? I think we all agree regime change is out of the question but certainly we should consider

    1) Sanctions on Russian businesses and members of the regime
    2) Confronting them militarily in places like Syria, Ukraine and elsewhere
    3) Ramping up domestic oil and gas production and forcing countries like Germany to abandon Russian energy deals
    4) Increase member funding of NATO

    All seem like good ideas.

This is exactly the problem. You all only care about Russia as far as it pertains to Trump. Impeach Trump and the Russia problem that has existed for years goes away. Obama ignored it. You all ignored it. Get rid of Trump and you can go back to ignoring it. You just aren’t serious.

This is why we had such an idiotic press conference today. Trump doesn’t believe you are interested in “Russia”. He thinks you just want to impeach and unfortunately he is not wrong. There was an indictment the other day that even though none of us will ever see the evidence behind I believed to be honest and fair. It discussed Russian meddling. It said no Americans knowingly participated. It said the outcome wasn’t changed because of it. Yet even with these clear statements none of you can let go. “Trump colluded!” “The dossier is real!” “The election was stolen!” “He must be impeached!”.

Trump hears this. He thinks this sentiment exists not just among you but by the entire democratic party, by a good portion of the republican party, and a large part of the DC bureaucracies including the FBI. He trusts none of them and none of you. Combine that with him being a thin skinned jerk and that is why you get the press conference we had today.

I want real solutions on Russia. You want impeachment. I am unlikely to get what I want because of what you want.

    And we will all suffer.

Thankfully we have a congress who forced the president's hand in actually pushing sanctions forward after he stalled for a good 8 months or so. Wonder why the delay.

Syria...haaaa......the airport we bombed last year was operational again in days. Had no choice but to use force this year. But then he never issued the new sanctions against Russia for its role even after Nikki Haley promised they would. I wonder what changed.

No country formally agreed to any of Trump's claims. The plan all along has been to go to 2% by 2024, since Obama pushed for it in 2014. Wonder why Trump lied.

And, if I may, I believe the outrage today stems more from the president siding with Putin over his own intelligence agencies regarding an attack on our election 2 years ago. There was no need for this "summit." The world saw how unprepared he was. There's no defending what happened today.

    1) Sanctions on Russian businesses and members of the regime     Impeach  Trump
    2) Confronting them militarily in places like Syria, Ukraine and elsewhere Impeach Trump
    3) Ramping up domestic oil and gas production and forcing countries like Germany to abandon Russian energy deals Impeach Trump
    4) Increase member funding of NATO Impeach Trump
    And there it is...

    And we will all suffer.
though you'd like that.  Remember, Trump is a criminal.  Me not liking him doesn't take anything away from that.

Trump acted like he did today because if he did not then he would have to admit there was meddling in the election and a possibility that he would not have won without the Russian help.

TODAY!? Worse than Charlottesville for Trump?
    Hard to quantify this shitshow
    I get how it’s confusing.

A few years ago the AMT was all like “the president and intelligence agencies lied us into war” and now it’s all like “the president isn’t listening to the intelligence agencies and taking us to war”.

    my head is spin. ing.
