Damn I missed this thread. This one was written for a Michelob commercial so it's corny on principle alone.

got a car...got some gas...oh let's get out of here-get out of here fast...
I hope you get this message but your not home...I will be there in just a minute or so...
I want to go but I want to go with you.

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. -MT

I've had enough, said enough, felt enough. I'm fine, still in it.

    Like the Al Stewart!

Time Passages is also a great tune from that album.

    Okay RG...

We've had our times on these forums, but if there was a ever a breakthrough moment that has clinched the deal for us... this is it.

April Wine is one of my all time favourite bands. My buddies and I grew up listening to these guys with them in the mix alongside Zeppelin, the Stones, the Who, Van Halen, etc.

I just bought 'Nature of the Beast' on vinyl about a month ago. It is one of the greatest rock records ever made. Before the cds and recorded tapes became a thing... I wore out TWO cassettes where the printing on either side of the cassette could not be read.

    You rock!

I didn't know they were disrespected and ridiculed as a band until I was an adult.  Somebody requested April Wine on the local rock station and the DJ went off screaming about how they wouldnt play it because it was a "ROCK STATION FOR CRYIN OUT LOUD!!!"

He then proceeded to play Love Hurts by Nazareth and it occured to me that notions of what is and isn't rock and roll are about as cliquey as a highschool cafeteria.

Nature of the Beast was my 3rd favorite record from my parents collection as a kid!  Just behind Elton John's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Dark Side of the Moon.

    Lol

I don't mind Nazareth (they're okay... they got a few good songs), but April Wine is infinitely greater.

    It's not even close.

As a kid I was captivated by Sha Na Na and the doo wop songs that they would do and my father would sing to me.  This is one of those songs that I loved as a very, very young child, I think I was 5... Rubber Ball

I've always said "Love Beach" would be a killer tune for PJ to cover. It's from a very hated album by Emerson Lake & Palmer (the band recorded it to fulfill record company contract), but the song is short and the music is very Who-sounding (right up PJ's alley) and the range and tone of Greg Lake's voice on this tune is right in EV's wheelhouse. Matt will kill it on drums too. People always think I'm joking, but this could be an awesome cover IMO - maybe even a Xmas single?!

Good boat music.  All you need is some extra tangy endangered catfish and a wacky waving inflatable flailing arm tube man and you're guaranteed to have a Sunny day.

    Agreed.

The selection was an exclamation mark on an idiot moment.
