Because the constant attack and attempted discrediting of future use of blockchain.

Maybe I should have instead compared it to the internet.  Do the same, find out who put it there and prosecute them.  Saying blockchain should be illegal would be like making the internet illegal.

The difference is now the banking industrial complex is being threatened.
You seem to take these things quite personally. This is just a perspective based on facts, really (and "blockchain" and "internet" really aren't the same thing now, are they?). I wonder how you'd react to any random news about it if you didn't own any bitcoin?
I don't take it personal, but I hope I am alive to see the day where big banks are phased out.

PJ Souls comments show both they didn't read the article and don't understand the issue.  This does not put child porn onto your computer or the blockchain any more than you having access to the internet means you inherrently have access to CP. The Blockchain can be downloaded without the metadata, and beyond that one would have to

A: know what you're looking for
B: Know how to use TOR and what to do to get at illicit materials
c: Somehow have A and B covered but your only source of links being a ledgers metadata.

Nothing to see here folks, just FUD that people who don't read the article will regurgitate without understanding that every time they sign on the internet they are in fact facing the exact same predicament.

Blockchain takes on music industry, cutting out middle men.

Music and Blockchain: From Theory to Concrete Application

Blockchain technologies will absolutely allow fan club payment in the future, though a band the size of PJ may not be the first to take advantage.  The blockchain tech evolution is around 1994 MPEG. We're talking before Napster, or even MP3.  The writing is on the wall, and the Lego bricks are there. How the pieces will be arranged and by whom is still on the table.

It's important for people to understand that regardless of their position on crypto becoming a widespread currency, blockchain technology itself will absolutely revolutionize many business sectors in the coming decade. MP3 Timeline below for some good for thought.

    Timeline - History of MP3

    • 1987 - The Fraunhofer Institut in Germany began research code-named EUREKA project EU147, Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB).
    • January 1988 - Moving Picture Experts Group or MPEG was established as a subcommittee of the International Standards Organization/International Electrotechnical Commission or ISO/IEC.
    • April 1989 - Fraunhofer received a German patent for MP3.
    • 1992 - Fraunhofer's and Dieter Seitzer’s audio coding algorithm was integrated into MPEG-1.
    • 1993 - MPEG-1 standard published.
    • 1994 - MPEG-2 developed and published a year later.
    • November 26, 1996 - United States patent issued for MP3.
    • September 1998 - Fraunhofer started to enforce their patent rights. All developers of MP3 encoders or rippers and decoders/players now have to pay a licensing fee to Fraunhofer.
    • February 1999 - A record company called SubPop is the first to distribute music tracks in the MP3 format.
    • 1999 - Portable MP3 players appear.

I have to admit I'm kinda glad that you didn't get out at its peak unsung. That would have been smart. Oh well!

I first saw it at 17 iirc on the Silk Road, wish I would have bought then.

I did sell some at $18k.  Only a few though.  Now everything is the house's money.

    Seen in Prague.
There are a fair number of them out there. I've heard something like 10 per European country now..... I would be interested to see the stats on how much they're used. I get the feeling that they are very underutilized. The one at SFU has actually been unplugged like a defunct arcade game, lol. It just sits there dark, as a reminder of what a bad idea it was to get it in the first place.
