Comey drafted the Crooked Hillary exoneration long before he talked to her (lied in Congress to Senator G), then based his decisions on her poll numbers. Disgruntled, he, McCabe, and the others, committed many crimes!

    "Committed many crimes"...HILARIOUS

Doanld Trump made as many bad decisions in the past 4 days than Jim Comey, Robert Mueller, and Andrew McCabe did combined, over the course of their entire lives.

The pettiness and constant personality conflicts in this admin is astonishing. Is this even a record for shortest time in a position at the WH?

Judging by how few posts have been made in this thread in the past couple of days, and how many are in the Syria threads, it looks like this distraction is working pretty well, lol. Trump must be thrilled!

i would hardly call a government using chemical weapons on their own people a distraction.  more like an evil act that needed a response.

Er, tthe bombing of Syria is the distraction, not the use of chemical weapons by Assad. Military action is pretty well known to be used as a distraction... And it works, and you've just proven it. That doesn't mean that the action doesn't have a major impact, but that does not diminish the fact that leaders who are in trouble often use military actions to distract voters from the shit that have them in trouble.
And HAHAHAHHAHAHA re an evil act that needed a response. As if Trump gives a flying fuck about acts of evil. The US government loves to pretend that this shit is about them caring about people, but that is never the case.

Sanctions are stupid. I never like sanctions. I think they are counterproductive in the long run.

I didn’t say it boiled it down to sanctions but rather disputed your claim that sanctions are “stupid” or that they’re “counterproductive.” I’d also argue that they should be given a go before the alternative.

Yes, sanctions against nations in response to tyrants are very stupid and countereproductive and are not better than alternatives because they will work to make the issues worse. Sanctions validate dictators, they strengthen their position in a tyrannical government, they bolster their goals as dictators, and they tend to help rally domestic support for said dictatorial government. They lead to more suffering among the nation's citizens, further solidifying a tyrant's position.

So, do nothing and then drop bombs? Or just go straight to dropping bombs? Or just do nothing? How about sanctions against individuals within tyrannical governments? Also stupid and counterproductive?

Honestly, intelligent people can manage multiple issues happening at the same time. It's just that he now isn't the only story and actually draws more attention to him in a different way, that some find worse and others are indifferent to. This thread is usually pretty lame anyway when it comes to content.
    It's a hopeless situation...

President Trump on Monday put the brakes on a preliminary plan to impose additional economic sanctions on Russia.

Asked Monday morning why it had taken 24 hours for the administration to walk back Nikki Haley’s comments, one White House official said only that there had been confusion internally about what the plan was.

not a fan of the Comey book tour interview last night... why be petty and talk about his appearance? came off as bush-league to me
I agree he should of just stayed on message that this president is a wanna be mobster but if you writte a book it's almost impossible to not do a tour promoting it ...
I don't mind promoting his book... my problem is some of his content, like talking shit about his appearance, was just to try and sell more copies... it was juvenile
I watched it and for the most part Comey was very un-Trump-like; his replies were measured and not full of silly accusations and stupid insults.  I'd guess he went easy on Trump, as he was making an effort to not be alarming.  The one thing I did not like was the hair, long tie, etc.  This was in response to something like "what was your early impression of him?"  I was ready for "high-strung," narcissistic," or "paronoid."  I was really disappointed to hear "well that hair is all his, the tie is too long" (and whatever else he said).
