Which PJ show would you have wanted to be at?

Out of all the shows in past PJ history, which one would you have loved to have been at? Europe, South America, anywhere. For me Melbourne 1998, night 3. Why? Not sure, I’ve had the official “unofficial” bootleg for years and have always got a vibe from that show. Would have been cool to be there.

The acoustic opening set Boston show...03?

I no longer miss any shows anywhere wihtin 500 miles so this doesn't happen again. Hahahah.

I’m going to throw in Benaroya too for historical factors.

Vic Theatre. Stood outside, but alas, could not figure out a way in. Had tickets stuck in my cart, for about 24 hours after the sale.

Runner up would be Chicago House of Blues 2005 with Robert Plant. I was a broke college student, and couldn't afford the price tag.

    Pink Pop 92

Still the biggest crowd played for to date. The energy was amazing.

Anything from the No Code tour would have been wild too. Didn’t see anything from that tour.

It's hard, because there's an obvious bias to shows that have soundboard official/unofficial bootlegs out there (because those are the ones I've listened to).

I would of loved to have seen Atlanta '94.  It feels to me like it was the height of the early days of PJ.   I saw PJ in '92 for Lolla, but they were just breaking out, they had one of the earliest sets of the day (it was something like 2pm) and only one album.  It was an amazing set, but a short set.    Seeing them with two albums under their belt with songs from the upcoming 3rd, at the height of their popularity.  It would of been amazing.

Runner up would be Mansfield III 2003.   Out of all the shows in the official bootleg era, it's the one I've listened to the most (that I didn't attend).   It sounds amazing, and I would have liked to have been there.

  • *5/3/03 State College. Went to 8 shows that tour but let this one go. Within driving distance. It still haunts me. 36 songs 3.5 hours.
    *9/01/05 Gorge
*9/30/05 AC. I went to the next night 10/01 show but should have done both. Paid $300 for the 10.1 and couldn’t afford both at the time. Only GA experience and it was glorious. About 4 rows back between Ed and Stone.
*5/5/06 Irving Plaza. Ive seen about 20-25 shows there over the years. Again, just didn’t have the funds to really pay through the nose at the time. I’m sure it worth every penny in such a small place
*10/30/09 Spectrum. I went to the first night 10/27 and the last night, Halloween, but the 10/30 show has been argued as the one to be at. The boot sounds like it was. The show before the last show, pressure was off them. Still trying to remember why I went to 2 of the 4 instead of all 4. weak!
    *10/17/14 No code show
    *10/20/14 Yield show

Quite the list.  I hear you though. There are lots I would have loved to have been at. Any of the Gorge shows too. Beautiful backdrop.

If I have to pick one, I'd say 10/17/14.
    no code
I was at the Yield show in Milwaukee 3 days after that one.  I even debated with myself when the 10c lottery was going on, if I should put in for Moline or not also.  I don't know why the hell I didn't.  And so it goes.

Toledo '96. Should have been my first show, but I was 16 and my parents wouldn't let me drive 100 miles each way on a school night...bummer

I was lucky enough to go to Moline or else it probably would have been my top choice. Elderly Woman opener followed by No Code. My arms never left the air.

After thinking about it I think 3/17/95 Melbourne would be my first choice. I absolutely love that bootleg.
