Agreed on the lesson.  And, after gruff's choppiness, dude's confidence should be through the roof.

We really have some amazing chefs within our midst.

I made one of those Dr. Oetker’s frozen pies for the kids last night. They gave it a thumbs down.

I tried a small slice and didn’t think it was all that bad for a frozen pizza. And it was definitely better than some of the more popular pizza places in this town.

I am envious of the amount of pizza you get to eat. I do see some Lou Malnatis in my future this weekend though. That’s a great looking pie, but Thirty is gonna have a field day with the 9-5 region. Lol.

I'd eat pizza more often if I could.  But I have to consider it an occasional treat according to the docs.

Went to CPK today with family.  I had a salad.

I don't hate their pizzas but they make killer chopped salads.  Much better than their pizzas.

A deduction of 10 points for you and consider yourself lucky, Mr. Healthy Eater.

I went with the food option that tasted better.

And...I accept any point deductions for loyalty to my taste buds and/or stomach.  ;)

I"m gonna have to check out that commercial, i haven't seen it yet.

the pizza I ate yesterday was great, not thin crust but not regular either, right in between.  Sauce and cheese were awesome.  My daughter ate four freaking slices lol.
oh and the wings....my god the wings were amazing!  they were in a nice mild bbq sauce and cooked to perfection.

Gross. Too much crust. Too much garlic. Too much cheese. Not enough sauce.

My wife picks that place because they make a GF pie for her, but they fucked up yesterday and made her pie with a regular crust. It’s my daughter’s favorite of all the mediocre places in town.

Does she have an intolerance or allergy? Did she eat some of the pizza?

Good lord, man. That's not a little error on their part.

My wife is not celiac, but she says the GF helps with another ailment that she has. They offered to make her a GF one when she went to pick up our order, but it would’ve taken 20 minutes and it was already getting late. She said no thanks, and I guess the employees got a free pizza.

The kids destroyed their pie. They love it. I had one slice of it, and I’m still chewing on it this morning. My review is above. Gross.

At least my son has better taste when it’s his week to pick the pizza place. (He picks the same one I do for my week, which will be this coming Friday.)

I know I missed the boat here, but favourite chain pizza is East of Chicago, which is a Pizza Hut style pie with slightly better sauce.  Way more expensive though, so Pizza Hut wins out always.
Anybody ever have Hungry Howie's?  Flavor baked crust that is excellent, but they basically crap on that delicious crust and bake it.

Frozen pizza...  I can't pick a favorite.  The problem is that any frozen pizza done 2 times back to back is always going to suck hard the second time so you just have to eat a different kind every time.

So is anyone familiar with "wedgies" (not the underwear kind) or is it just a where-I'm-from thing?  It's a baked sandwich but with pizza crust instead of bread.
  • hedonisthedonist standing on the edge of forever Posts: 24,524
I've never heard of that version of a wedgie.  Is it similar to calzone?

I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but no frozen pizza could touch the original Wolfgang Puck's.  I believe Linda McCartney (RIPx10) had one too in her frozen vegetarian line.

Papa John's today.  Not good.  At all.

    First world problems lol
In the grand scheme of human history, Papa John's is a delicious fucking delicacy, but we are damn spoiled 'round here.
