Best Sounding PJ Album?

mschostokmschostok Chicago, IL Posts: 858
Not sure if there exists a thread like this somewhere, but would love to hear people's thoughts on this. What do you guys think is the best sounding (produced, mixed, mastered) PJ album? I vote Vs. or No Code.

I'd say VS. and 2nd would be Avocado.

I actually think No Code sounds like shit.  Love the songs, can't stand the way they sound on studio versions.

I agree on Binaural.  I have a sickness when it comes to spending cash on my audio gear, and Binaural has to be one of the top records in terms of exploiting my system's capabilities.  Breakerfall jumps out of the speakers.  The depth of Thin Air and Of The Girl is intoxicating. The beginning of Rival gets my dog's attention every time.

Binaural and Riot Act sound the best. There's an airyness to the music and production quality of each album.
    It's a hopeless situation...

    On vinyl...

    1. Binaural
    2. No Code
    3. Vitalogy

Riot Act also has a great sound on wax.

Avocado is easily the worst. Brickwalled to the extreme. Vitalogy->yield I guess the best but none of pjs are great in terms of sonic quality

No Code. Punchy, clear, smooth, dynamic. Judging only the sound quality.

Yup. Just based on vinyl sound quality No Code is fantastic. And Binaural sounds amazing on wax as well.
