So I took mine out in the direct sunlight and still don't see the color. Is it that hard to reveal?

You have the Vault pressing? Only the Vault pressing is blue/black smoke.

Did you hold it up to the light? If you do it's obvious.

Btw, I also like how the Vault version of the record totally looks like black vinyl luntil you hold it up to the light, and it's blue marble. I've never seen that before. I mean, that's not worth the difference in price from the regular version, but still, kinda cool.
An original Synchronicity looks black but is purple in the light.  It's a tremendous pressing to boot. That's the only other one I've seen like that.
It's been forever since I spun Synchronicity and I've never held the wax up to light. Hey, what do you know, purple!

First few REM albums are the same way. I’ve heard there are green brown and purple pressings. But the are black ones as well.

I have a green brown copy of Reckoning. weird that this was the first thing that came into my mind. I remember the store owner telling me that if you held it up to light you could see the real colour. totally forgot about that. I need to go check.

That image is Dope! If you could get the same without your hand in it, would be REALLY good.

This album is getting better and better each time I drop the needle.

my sources are probably very close to the same as yours, "lol". it's defintely not just here. and besides the reviews that jack's posted themselves, I haven't seen very many say it's a good album.
I guess they aren't, since I'm seeing a different story than you are. Yeah, some really don't like it, clearly, but I don't think it's as lopsided as you're saying, from everything I've read.
You're getting a bit snippy about this and I don't understand why.
    you're projecting again
Oh, okay. Yeah, you're not being snippy at all.
I have zero idea why you think that. but ok.
You don't? I don't believe that. I thought it specifically because of the quotes around the lol the way you did .... come on, you know you were being a bit snotty with that. There is no other context for it. And then accusing me of projecting. Again. Dude, I don't do that at all, ever. So that was a little personal insult thrown in there, and a bit beyond being snippy.
    nope.

the album is still garbage. IMHO. but glad some enjoy it. I know I love getting new music from a band that I dig.

I’d call it a fun album. Not amazing though. Sounds like he really just wanted to make a weird album

Ice Station Zebra is probably my favorite track. Over and Over and Over could have been amazing, and he ruined it with the gospel thing. Respect Commander is oddly great.

I checked my copy of Murmur today after reading this, sure enough different color with light shining through.

Question for you guys. I'm going to see Jack White in Milwaukee in a few weeks. This will be my first Jack White show and I can't tell you how excited I am. Does he have a poster every show like we see with PJ...and are they ridiculous to get (like with PJ) if the does?

YES...there are usually show specific posters for JW shows.
And depending on the artist, they can be even harder to score than PJ posters.

They only sell merch in the venue.
I think there were only around 200 copies printed for the last show I attended & we got a Todd Slater poster,
    so they were gone FAST!!

Thanks Dave. It's a GA show, so people will be lined up early. We don't care about being close to the stage. But I cant get there real early due to my wife working and a 2 hour drive to get there. So my chances of getting one at the show probably aren't good. I'll just try and if I have to do ebay, I'll hope it isn't like $300.

Corporation and Respect Commander were my two favorite new songs that I saw him play live in LA. Since they don't have many lyrics, Jack really lets loose and jams with his band on those songs.

I didn’t like the new album at all when I first heard it. But seeing the songs live completely turned me around. Like you said, he really gets to go nuts with them
