They had a world premiere for a couple of singles. Pretty sure they did not announce the album.
I remember it as they premiered MYM and announced the album title and release date but then there was the contest for the song titles but could be wrong

Forgot about the Tshirts good point. I have said this before and know I am in the minority but really hoping this is a album free tour and 2019 is when they come out swinging with new stuff.
We've had album free tours since 2014. Why wait another year? It isn't like they play 19 songs a show and 9 are from the new album. THey play 33 songs a night and 5 might be from the new album at the most.

Just think the ballpark shows would be better suited as free sets with out supporting an album. Worcester 1, my first show, was like 20-25% Lightning Bolt or something like that. I am happy either way obviously just think they would bring out the rarities more on these sets.
Because its the weekend. if you want to maximize attention, you announce on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. If you notice most big single/album announcemnets happen on those days. It can happen on a Monday or a Friday, but you are competing with getting back into the work week or thinking about the weekend. Announcing on a weekend guarantees minimal attention.
