Is an "ISO" post a waste of time?

I've always been curious if creating an "ISO" ticket post on a band's fan club message board is worth the effort? Does anyone really (when it comes time to sell...after not getting any success with a trade offers) scour the ISO posts for a buyer? Or do they just simply create a new "For Sale" post on their own?

The latter seems more logical/easier but wanted to get the group's thoughts/experiences on this. For future reference ;)

Always worth a shot IMO. Fan Club forums, FB groups, or FB event pages.

I ended up with an extra ticket to a sold out VNV Nation show in NYC last year. I went to the FB event page and made a For Sale post. No one answered it even though there were numerous ISO posts. I ended up PM’ing several of them to see if any were still looking and found a buyer that way. The guy was super thankful and totally psyched to get in.

It is not necessarily a waste of time. Whenever I have had a spare ticket, I checked to see who was looking for one. I've met some cool forum members that way.

This ^^^  Whenever I was selling or buying I look at the boards. It's gone well for me both ways :-)
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!

When I have extra I always look for ISO searches because posting For Sale has people offering up limbs, little sisters and homemade weed brownies
