Just back from a few days in Prague and if you're looking for cheap beer try the little bar over the road from the Grand Majestic Plaza, Truhlarska 16. About £1/EUR 1/U$ 1.3 a pint.

And don't bother with the sightseeing buses as you can walk to most of the points of interest.

Thanks for the info on the sighseeing bus. Anything that you can think of that I should hit that is not on the tripadvisor top 10? I am getting into Prague 1 at 8:00am on the day of the show and would like to do as much as I can until 4:00ish. Food/sites you name it I am all ears.

Personally, having been to Prague once, if I had limited time I would take a leisurely wander through the old town, over the Charles Bridge, and up the hill to the Strahov Monastery. On a nice day it will be a lovely meander with beautiful views and yummy food along the way. Stop for beer at the top somewhere that you can look down over the river and the city.

Assuming the Sex Machines Museum is in the Top 10 (!) I'd definitely recommend the St Cyril and Methodius church crypt (Google Operation Anthropoid), a walk up the river and over the Charles Bridge if you can get past the crowds and a beer off Wenceslas Square as it's expensive in the square itself. Oh, and you must have a chimney cake!

Great thanks! I googled those recommendations and added a couple to my trip. I am looking to do a typical tour that takes me to Old Town Square - Charles Bridge -Lennon Wall - Prague Castle. I am not one for needing to go into the buildings themselves and since I am crunched for time I am going to avoid most lines. I am wondering though in your opinions what is the best location for a view of the city? I see Petrin Hill is recommended but if I do not have to pay to get a view that would be ideal.

Walk up the hill to the Metronome as the views are great from there but I wouldn't bother with the Lennon Wall, it's nothing special.

I've lost my passport too. Or it's been stolen from my pocket. So, needs to get a new one. :(

You are going to Prague and Krakow too?! We need to meet up for sure. How are you traveling between cities? Myself and a couple of other guys from the forum are thinking of either doing a night bus after the show or an early bus/train on the 2nd. What about Berlin? Able to make that work?

With regards to hotels I have this one booked for the July 1st but not sure if I need it since we may be doing a night bus.

U Dvou Zlatych Klicu, Prague 46 Euros a night.

Let me know if you are interested as I can probably transfer it over to your name instead of cancelling it if we do a night bus and you are not interested. Prices have gone up a lot but if you are not too picky there are definitely deals to be had.

With Krakow I have a room on the 2nd booked at Vienna House Easy Cracow but plan on doing the same thing for the night of the show going to Berlin or maybe doing the PJ bus if there is a seat still available and there are no night travel options. I also have a room booked for the 2nd and 3rd at Hostel Yellow. It is just a single occupancy room but fairly cheap. Let me know if you are interested in that as well. I can release that and you can book it too if you want.

Didn't get a notification of you quoting me. Hmm.

    But now I'm here!

Yes, Im going to Prague and Krakow. Not Berlin. Going by bus would have been great (only like 6-8h between the cities?) but I'm pretty sure I bought a plane ticket.

I will look into options tonight or tomorrow. I get back to you!

Still scared of travelling alone. I bet that's why I haven't looked into this. Don't really wanna face it. HAHA. FUCK ME.
