Quick question for anyone who can help...

How difficult is it to transfer to JFK from EWR or LGA?  Which one is easier?  How long should I give myself to transfer?  Transfer would be happing around 8 am on a Thursday.  Thanks!

You want to take a taxi from JFK to Laguardia?  You're nuts.  Figure an hour from landing to get your luggage because JFK is sloooooooooooooooow.

Then an hour to get to LaGuardia by taxi on a good day.

    Figure 2 hrs minimum.

I'm sorry but there isn't a good way.  8am makes it even longer.  90 - 120 mins as quoted above.  Brutal.

https://www.nycairporter.com/ I believe transfers between airports--at least I know it does LGA to JFK transfers. Might have to stop in Manhattan first if transferring to/from EWR.

And Newark is further away than LA Guardia.

Ugh. Just... ugh. No. It won't be worth whatever you are saving on airfare. And that time of day, I feel like even two hours is cutting it close.
If you have checked bags, give yourself another 30 minutes to get those if you are landing in Newark.

I'm thinking back to a Sunday afternoon a number of years ago now (eight or nine, before Siri, cars with GPS, etc.). My husband went to EWR for a flight to Europe, and he realized when he arrived in the parking lot that his admin, for some reason, had booked him on a flight leaving from JFK, instead (we lived in NJ). I sat on the phone and navigated him via Google Earth to JFK. He missed his flight -- took well over an hour to get there, again, on a Sunday afternoon.

LGA would be easier but not easy. At least you're going against traffic at that time. You'd probably want 4-5 hours between flights to be safe. Airports eat time.
