The Smalls were never big time and I can't profess to liking much of their music... but they pumped out a wicked tune with this little ditty (it's on most of my 'heavy' playlists I listen to while working out or mountain biking):
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RmteGBr52g
Corb Lund rockin' the Oilers jersey.

Along with the Hawksley Workman tune it's good to see some Canadian content here in the lounge.

Happy Friday Brian, Driver 8 , great choice!
    Next up, Eva Cassidy from
Live At Blues Alley.  What a strong voice she had, and made it look easy.

Eva Cassidy-  for sure! She was a great singer.  Nicely done, RYME!

See, what's always great about music, I love R.E.M. haven't listened to them in a while.  Now after you put up that old Driver 8 tune, I was going through my REM collection last night listening for a bit.  And then today, I had to listen to this one a few times.

Cheers Brian, and all of y'all.

I like that old camper/van pic on your profile with the PJ20 sticker on it.
Were you at the PJ20 shows at APV Brian?
I live 30 minutes from APV.

I love it that they brought back Bill Berry for that number! And Eddie, of course!

What was with Pete Buck tossing that amp?  He looks pissed!

Not sure where I got that sticker (memory banks don't work as well as they used to!).  The photo was taken on the coast in Crescent City at the very north of California.  We were heading home from a family reunion my nephews put together up in Washington State.  Good times!

Cheers, RYME and happy weekend everyone!

Cheers from here as well.  This makes me incredibly happy, especially when Slash's hat goes to the King.

When it came out back in around 2010, I picked up this DVD called "Jimi Hendrix the Guitar Hero", a documentary narrated by Slash.  It's not the best Hendrix documentary out there but seeing it again recently, I liked it better than I did early on.  Slash is great in the interview sections- he has an excellent ability to describe Jimi's playing and technique.  The interviews with Eric Burdon, Dave Mason, Lemmy and a few others add a lot to the doc as well.  I'm guessing you've seen it, Hedo, but if not, being a Slash fan, it's probably a "must see" for you!

B, thank you for that!  I love how Slash is in quotations.

And, your suggestion led me to this.  Fucking amazing!  Not to mention these kids who love music.  The joy on their faces, agh!  Essence of beauty.

What do you think of this guy Brian?
I've seen him twice in Madison Wisconsin it's a $25 ticket, And he puts on a great show in small venues.  It's a three man band.
Check him out if you get a chance.

Yeah, in fact I just read up on White Buffalo on Allmusic and in the review for "Shadows, Greys and Evil Ways" they mention Waylon, Towns Van Zandt and Steve Earle as influences.  Not bad company!

not exactly a lounging yet. Just driving truck like I do everyday.
But I thought it would be fun to show you what I think is the white Buffalo's best song on the Shadows Greys & evil ways album.
    https://youtu.be/ES4JdPkWsJE
I have all of his albums they are all good.
I wonder if taking a selfie of yourself while driving a semi truck is legal? Probably not advised. B)

    Enjoy that sunshine!

What state do you live in? California?
Yea, I'm not a fan of winter.
But spring summer and fall are great.
The fireflies that come out in July are pretty neat.  Yeah there's quite a few wildflowers in in this area.  I even like dandelions.  Most people I know spray their  yard so they get no dandelions but I think that's silly, i like dandelions, and the Creeping Charlie, through because they are one the first flowers of the spring, and often times the first available food source for hungry honey bees.
We grow sunflowers around our house just because we can and the birds love them.

Yes, born in Berkeley, grew up in the bay area, lived in Western NY state for a couple years in the 70's, Washington state from about '90 to '94 and been though about 80% of the US.  What a diverse country we have!

NY state was the roughest for winter.  6 months of freezing cold and snow.  One day, I went to work and the temperture with wind chill factor was 60 below!  Brrrrrrrrr!

    Yes, dandelions are great!

    Here's to dandelions:

I cannot find any YouTubes of this album. But it's a great band that should have made the mainstream but never did.

;) I actually know that mickeyrat.
I was just trying to get a laugh.
I was actually stationary when I took that picture.  Was getting loaded up, not actually driving and taking a selfie at the same time that would be stupid.
123,456,, you must be driving a pretty new truck hay?
