In current political climate I don’t think any useful conversation will be had on how to affectivly resolve the issue. It’s one thing to demand more gun laws, it’s another to actually come up with the laws. A seizure of all weapons won’t happen. And if we stop all gun sales, there’s still 300 million guns. Maybe the buy back? Like Australia? 2/3 of Australia still has their guns. Its hard to think realistically and critically without emotion when innocent people are getting killed weekly, but that’s what it will take. A good critical, intelegent conversation? Laughable with America’s politics right now.

Nothing has changed because neither Republicans or Democrats can come up with a reasonable plan to help fix the problem. Let’s not forget that nothing changed in the 8 years before the Don. It’s more complicated than we think. (I have no plan).
It gets exhausting explaining this every time, but Obama only had control of all branches for 2 years and they spent that time on the ACA. By the time Sandy Hook happened, he was handcuffed on a response. There has been plenty of proposals the last 8 years, but they're all dead in the water while the gun lobby buys votes.

Yes, something should have happened a long time ago after Columbine, but it seems no one quite understood where we were heading yet. It's never too late to be the change you want to see, but this admin is too busy rolling back regs, lowering taxes for the rich and deporting immigrants who have been here for 20 years.
The only thing Congress is capable of doing is writing one bill every two years?  Don’t fool yourself, Democrats want to save their jobs as much as Republicans. That s why they didn’t do shit with gun control when they had the chance and that s why republican won’t do it now.
They all lost their seats for the ACA. It seems crazy too think about, but mass shootings have become much worse just in the last 6 years. If you don't think a democratic controlled legislature would have made a difference after Sandy Hook, Colorado or the Pulse nightclub, then republicans have got you fooled.

The Republicans are going to lose their seats soon enough for failure to act on mass shootings. Gun control will happen and as witnessed in the posted video from Parkland, our youth will get it right. This generation is the end of the line for ignorance.
    It's a hopeless situation...

i guess we will wait and see for the mid term elections.  however i doubt republicans will lose either house.  my guess is the blue states will be more blue and red states will be that much more red.

my question is, what has happened in the past six years that increased mass shootings?  It's not like ar-15's were illegal before that.

Here is a link charting which states have waiting periods of up to 72 hours for abortion along with other requirements.

So I take it you've changed your position and you now support gun confiscations and bans on individuals without full due process?

Or are you just carrying the alt-right distraction banner around out of habit?

Expecting the US to bring decent regulations is an excercise in futility...no one needs AR-15...and if it’s neccessary for some to have a need to play with these things...only allow properly gun ranges to keep some in stock for when the small dicks moron feel the need to fire these off.
