Blantons has been extremely hard to find lately in the Chicago area. I found a local store today that tells me they have it for $60 over the phone. I go to pick it up...$90! WTF. I passed on it out of principle. What are most of you paying for it these days?
Found a bottle on local Craigslist for $40

Yep, still in the sealed box and everything. I've since opened it and it's the real deal. I don't think he really knew what he had. It was a gift from someone and he said he doesn't drink whiskey. I've not seen them go for a ton of money (your $90 matches the highest I've personally seen) but he certainly could've at least gotten the $60 face value back for it.

To me Bookers is still boss. If you get a chance try the E. H. Taylor Single Barrel. At $57.00 a bottle its a steal. Also to change flavor profile a bit I recommend Whistle Pig Rye. Cheap sipper? E.H. Taylor small batch, Eagle Rare, and 1792 all very good for less than $30

Oh.... I had a bottle of Pappy 15 year a couple years ago. Most stores sell it here for about $600 and up. I got for $200 so said wtf you only live once. It was great. $500 better than Bookers? Not even close.

Agreed.  If I find a bottle, which I have, for under $500 I'll buy the 20,23.  No way I'm paying retail for these.  It's not worth it.

This thread is making me want to restock my cabinet.  The only bottles I have currently are a Russian Standard vodka and a No. Ten gin.

Been away for a little while...  Glad to see this thread is still alive.  I had some kind of crazy good bourbon / beer hunting season.  Anyone else?

I liked the 12 - had some Stag Jr. As well.  I was out the door for around 50 bucks LoL

Stagg Jr is crap which was disappointing considering that the original is amongst the best I have ever had.

There’s another limited release lottery in PA this week.

    •  Booker's Kentucky Straight Rye 13 Year Old, $599.99, 12 bottles (9 for individual consumers, 3 for licensees)
    •
Four Roses Limited Edition 2017, a blend of 15-, 13-, and 12-year-old bourbons, $124.99, 101 bottles (76 for individual consumers, 25 for licensees)
    •
Parker's Heritage Straight Bourbon Whiskey, 11th Edition, 11 Year Old, $139.99, 120 bottles (90 for individual consumers, 30 for licensees)
    •
Elmer T. Lee Straight Bourbon Whiskey, $37.99, 432 bottles (324 for individual consumers, 108 for licensees)

I can’t believe anyone would pay $600 for the Bookers, but good luck to anyone that enters.

Been seeing 2016 and 2017 selling in the $400-450 range, for whatever it’s worth.

Full blown secondary on the Booker’s.  Wouldn’t be that way if self-proclaimed experts would cease their “whiskey (bourbon) of the year” nonsense.  This market is effed up.  I’d pay the ask on the other three.

I only entered for the Elmer’s and the Four Roses. I’ve had the Parkers a few times before and wasnt blown away. Certainly not worth $140.

Bookers bourbon is awesome so assume the Rye would be good. I might be the one person who feels 4R is just ok

I'm not sure of (a) the conversion rate and/or (b) the availability of either in Canada.   In US$, the 10-Year usually goes for $350-400 and the 12-Year goes for around $450 on the secondary market.
