New Ticket Policy Changes Simplified

edited February 2018 in The Porch
1.  No physical 10C tickets- mobile tickets only.
2.  10C ticket transfer to your guest only, and only one of your two tickets.
3.  Seat locations planned to be sent late July instead of finding out the day of show.
4.  Ticketmaster verified fan pre-sale being used.  You must be chosen for this.  If not try the regular sale which is afterwards.
5.  Reselling of Ten Club tickets will result in cancellation of ticket purchase and possible loss of membership.
6.  More tickets for 10C usual compared to past drawings

Any other major changes?

Timeline for the three different sale:

Ten Club tickets:
- you have to have been a member on or before January 23rd
- drawing opens February 7 and closes February 12
- winners notified

Ticketmaster Registered Fan Presale:
- registration open today- deadine is February 6
- notification to lucky entrants on February 15
- Onsale is February 16

Regular Ticketmaster Onsale:
- onsale February 21

    Slight change.....

    Reserved Seating:
In order to accommodate more Ten Club members than ever before, please be aware Ten Club seated tickets will be spread further back than usual, and include some of the best seat locations in the house. For Seattle, Chicago and Boston this includes seats on the field, seats in the lower level of the bowl and seats in the front rows of the upper level. For Missoula, seats are located throughout the 100 level. Reserved seated tickets are assigned to members based on seniority in the Ten Club and will start closest to the stage extending back.

What about this one?  In the past, I thought we could sell them (after picking them up) for face value.

    - Reselling of Ten Club tickets will result in cancellation of ticket purchase and possible loss of membership.

That won’t change for your +1 but you can’t sell a pair. Just get what you need and not multiple pairs, easy!

    Added- thanks!

The re-sale things is odd.  I had multiple extra pairs for fenway that I sold for face value to fans.  I kept upgrading my seats as the event got closer.  Guess I can't do this again.

I understand the reason why you can only sell one of your tickets to your friend.  My only concern is that if Bob and I both want to go to the same concert and (like in the past) we both decide to take our chances in the lottery which increases our odds of winning a pair at least.  We could end up with 2 pairs to the same show and us being seated separate with random guests sitting with us.  Seems like this could cause problems.

So my wife and I are going to Fenway. We are both members and both should be able to try for tickets. Now if we both win for the same show we can not sit together it looks like or we have to sell one of our tickets each and just tell the person that ticket isn't really theirs but the other extra is. Makes things very hard for people looking to do multiple shows and have partners that are just as big as fans as they are.

That's a shame about not being able to transfer the member ticket. Many times friends and fans help each other by maneuvering pairs of tix etc to help others. not having the ticket stub to frame is unfortunate as well but something i can get over

Unless it is like Ticketmaster paperless, they scan your phone going in and give you a paper receipt with your seat info.  Wish 10c explained that better.

Also, if your phone dies while in line at the bathroom or for a beer, you are screwed.

Yes, I only get what I need but I also like to have as many chances in the lottery as possible.  Out of my group of six people planning to go to Seattle, we have four memberships.  If all four Ten Club members win tix in the lottery we'll have eight, without the ability to sell the extra two.  The option is to have only three Ten Club members enter the lottery but if all of them don't win then we don't have enough tix.  Dilemma.

People are always begging them to do something about scalpers. Well...here we are. I have some concerns about how this will all work but I'm willing to give it a shot.

You could in theory still get rid of an extra set of tickets, although a little more complicated maybe.

Could you not provide 2 people the guest tickets from both sets and then you and your seat buddy sit in the good seats and the two guests sit in the crappier set of seats.

Not ideal and maybe a little complicated but it could work, except for GA perhaps where you will probably have a bracelet.
Enjoy difference. Without it we're all boring!

Hard to pull in Fenway for sure... but drawing for GAs on the other dates is a little more forgiving... still a big hassle though...

So the question is how much faith do we put in the sentence where they think they can accommodate "most if not all requests".

Sounds as if they are getting a larger than normal allotment of tix available for 10 club (by avoiding Live Nation venues I assume) so maybe only one of you would need to enter. Guess we'll have a better idea when the odds page of lottery goes live.

GA looks to be safe on this. You can each sell your +1's and use your own phones to get in. Reserved seating is a lot harder to do this now with the new rule of only trading one ticket.

You can sell you +1's but 1 ticket has to be tied to you. Mcgruff and his buddy would each individually need to sell 1 ticket to the other party.

That won’t change for your +1 but you can’t sell a pair. Just get what you need and not multiple pairs, easy!

You can totally both put in for the show. If you both win, then you both just find +1s, and, assuming you're talking seats and not GA, you just switch seats with one of your +1s so you can sit together. So you can find another couple and they can sit together as well. You just won't all be in your assigned seats, but that makes no difference.
