1966 - Mike McCready born
1980 - R.E.M. plays first show (Eddie Vedder later inducts them into RRHOF)
1984 - Kareem breaks Wilt's scoring record (Jeff Ament later writes tribute song "Sweet Lew")
1989 - Late Night with David Letterman is the first TV show to use Dolby Surround Sound (Dave later inducts PJ into RRHOF)
1994 - Kurt Kobain dies
2002 - Layne Staley dies

Some of this is loose, I know, and the last two are extremely sad...just find it kind of interesting.

(I think the last two points are enough to make that day stand out)

I wouldn't call it a theory...just quite a coincidence that Kurt and Layne both died on Mike's bday, and the others are random events that happened to occur on that day  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
