What a guy!  101 years old yesterday!  "Lust for Life", Spartacus", and "Lonely are the Brave" are among my all-time favorite movies.

Yes- and a great father/son relationship they have.

Michael recalls: “I was in New York with my family on September 11th, and the events that happened made us all feel much closer to each other. We realized how important each day had become.”

Kirk is effusive in his praise for his son's abilities as an actor: “I was surprised by the energy that came forth from him. He was always in character. I've worked with Lawrence Olivier, Henry Fonda, Burt Lancaster. But Michael is one of the best. I'm very thrilled that I finally got to act with my son.

  • I read his first book when I was in college. Wow was that an eye opener! And I always remember how old he is because he and my grandmother are the same age (she'll be 101 in March).

I've heard that book is good.  Will have to give it a go!

God bless him.  As long as he's not suffering from an illness or in pain, he's reached a milestone not many of us will see.
