sounds like a veiled endorsement of homeschooling. in the real world, those three cogs are dysfunctional.
And for some reason, this poster has omitted a very large cog- administration.
also funding. but in libertarian logic, you have to leave those things out to make your point.
Not really worried about funding.  There would be no government schools.
It's always nice when you let your guard down and show how extreme your belief system is.
I've never once said govt schools were ok in my book.
Oh, I know, you are entirely consistent in your extremism, always have been.
You just don't let it show all that often.

Public schools (aka "government schools") have their down side but I worked in them and it was not all bad, not by far.  Besides, if it weren't for public schools we night not have had...

Yeah, I fully admit to not support those indoctrination centers.

But Brian anyone with half a brain knows public schools are government  funded indoctrination centers whose only goal is to brainwash the children to accept people of different races, creeds, nationalities, religions, and sexual orientations.
Not to mention communism, socialism, leninism, and stalinism.

All correct, BP only it's "galldang pinkos!" (often punctuated with "damn it!").

Edit: oh, I see, because I said "galldang it" and "damn it".  Meant no offense to anyone but I don't consider such phrases sacrilege on any particular day.  If it's "wrong" to say something, it's either always wrong or never wrong.

Red light cameras...oh a whole 'nother topic.
Not in MN.  Speed cameras either.  Hell, they don't even monitor the toll lanes.  Another reason I love this state.
Chicago was caught shortening the yellow light timing after red light cameras were installed, and after they installed the speed cameras they removed a bunch of speed bumps.
Whatever happened to personal responsibility? You need speed bumps to avoid the speed cameras? Incapable of driving the speed limit? It’s all big governments fault.
I would agree that there seems to be a general lack of personal responsibility.
But removing speed bumps to put in a camera seems to confirm the suspicion they aren't s they for safety, but for revenue. many cities and even a few states have banned the use of red light cameras because of the number of lawful drivers who were getting tickets. And it sucks when you have to take 2 days off of work to fight a ticket in many cases. Most prefer to just pay $100 fine that to take off work, and that's just wrong when many never deserved the ticket to begin with.

All it means is the city is attempting to condition a population that doesn’t require a costly bump installation for every time they want drivers to behave. They have rights to all the revenue they make for that, given the population could have chosen to simply behave better and not require the city to have had them in the first place. They do owe the people a fully accurate speed test though; anything else should require a manual human review before inconveniencing a citizen.

Add to that list one of my favorite Paul Westerberg phrases, "hallefuckinlujah"!

I agree they have rights to that revenue. I don't have an issue with a city ticketing bad drivers.
But I still stand by what I said, that sometimes these cameras are known to be faulty and there is a big perception they are there for revenue and not to increase safety. And that revenue would Lynne justified if they are not close to 100% accurate.
if you don't like costly speed bumps, then I would think removing them would be as expensive if not even more.

if the general populace really gave a shit about speed safety, we wouldn't allow car companies to make cars that can go 200 mph when legally they can only go 65 at most.
    Darwinspeed, all.

The parents are the main problem. Before administrators wussed out by letting parents have way more influence and control than they ever should have been granted, everything worked way better. If school systems would take their balls back and made the parents stay out of what they are unqualified to do, things would be so much better.
