Glad to continue the vault collection. Nice packaging, pressing from RTI is their normal top quality. I was a little underwhelmed at the sound quality, extensive compression throughout and pretty loud. But again glad to continue the vault collection.

The Vaults are bar none the best packaging PJ has ever done. Love their aesthetic. It’s a package like this that make me love collecting records.

Haven’t listened to Soldier Field in a long time...

Release floored me. It truly did. That song means so much to me and it really sounds great on this release.

Hell, side A is just great. Anytime you can get Go, Last Exit & Tremor Christ in the first 3 songs you know you’re in for a treat.

    Love Jack’s playing. Enjoy, all.
    I LOVE MUSIC.

I was the exact opposite. I was wanting Release to sound great, but it didn't. So compressed and loud almost to a distorted sound. Maybe just my ears, but I thought the sound of this vault was only ok.

Only got to hear Side A so far but I felt the same. At first I thought I was just hearing the wear and tear on Ed's vocals at that point and time for that show, but as it moved on to Go and Last Exit, it did seem loud to me without much distinction and separation. I brought my bass up a tad which helped, but still not the best sounding vault in my opinion. Still happy to have it, and look forward to listening to the rest of the show. Jacks drumming is fun to hear.

I do agree this recording is a bit muddy, but compared to the old boot, this is light years better.

Just arrived from UPS in Sacramento....wife answered the door....uh...."hey honey....that would be a great gift to wrap for me...." I muttered....
I guess I will wait a few days to listen to it....in a likely useless attempt to deflect a "really???? another album????" moment.  It is tough to sell the "I bought it months ago" argument....

Seriously though...she is cool with it...in fact, probably could not care less that I got it....but---you never really know...do you?

^^^Ha, I used to use the "but it was a pre-order from months ago, honey." Wore out that excuse rather quickly.

Gotcha. Anybody else have UPS screw up and say it got delivered when it actually didn't? Mine says it was delivered to me at 6:34 PM. I was home all night and it never showed up. Sat on hold with UPS for about an hour. Said they'd file a claim. Yadda Yadda Yadda. This couldn't of happened with a lame renewal shirt that I could care less about. Nope, had to happen to a super fantastic 95 LP. My luck.

I have stopped getting stuff delivered to my home address because my stuff gets delivered to my neighbors, not even carrier specific. I have everything delivered to work.  If that's an option I would go with that.
