if your house contains 5 dog beds, 2 crates, 2 dyson animals, an x-pen and countless dog toys....are you “dog people”?

Piper and Winnie are sooooooo different....their moms are half sisters, but Piper’s mom carries the “naughty gene.”

when I walk them at the park, Winnie strolls along, while Piper pulls toward anything, real or imagined.

I took Winnie to “puppy play” yesterday....this is where 15-20 dogs, under a year of age, get together in a big room....when Piper used to go, she was the queen bee and RAN the show....winnie, on the other hand, just kind of strolled around.

the good news is, they love each other and Winnie can get plenty fired up, romping with Piper. we look forward to these moments:

Today, I lounged my campagne, to raise money to train my dog Timmie, as diabetes alert dog. In the Netherlands all assistent dogs are funded by the heath insurance, except the diabetes alert dog. The training cost about 12.000,- Euro's, an amount of money I don't have...
Due to my hypo-unawareness am I unable to work, so I'm living on welfare at the moment. As Timmie (my dog) gets his training I will be able to contribute to society once again.

While at the moment staying alive is a challenge on its own. I depend on my child to stay alive, but it is NOT his responsibility, and gives to much emotional presure on the shoulders of a boy of almost thirteen years old.

Therefor I hope some of you will help me to raise the money, by donating on the link below and share this message to all of your friends.

    Thank you for your help!!!

If I'm able to contribute, I will, Aafke.  I hope this comes to fruition for you and should there be leftover funds, I also hope they're put toward changing this ridiculous restriction.

    Wishing you well :)

Thank you Hedo!!! It is insane, all assistentdogs are insured, except the diabetes alert dog... unfortunately the diabetic foundation in the Netherlands is too bussy holding already insured care in the insurance, so they won't take the effort to lobby for new kinds of care...

Such a bummer when they can tell something is wrong and increase the sweetness level. I wish I could explain it to her so it made sense. Shit, I wish it made sense to me.

I think I've posted this before, but a while back, I read a little blurb asking what you'd tell your dog if you had ten seconds and they could understand what you're saying.  Made me tear up because it'd take so much more time than that - let alone simply saying how much they are loved.

Comfort each other as you can :)

My guy with my sister’s Golden yesterday. She was all about food, crotch-sniffling  and her new toy.

Piper and Winnie are getting along great! Winnie likes to stroll around with any one of her thousand toys to see if she can make Piper jealous. It seems to work every time

even tho the website is in Dutch, I think I figured how to donate. I’d rather do dollars than euros, but that wasn’t a dealbreaker. what WAS a dealbreaker was everytime I hit what I thought was the “donate” (in Dutch) button, the site told me to read the terms of service and erased my donation :bawling: am I doing something wrong?

sad news....Piper’s oldest buddy Sasha (she met him just as soon as she finished her shots) went to doggie heaven today. Sasha had been sick for over a year but he met us at the park just last week and got kisses from Piper and Winnie.

    RIP, Sasha.
