I've got front row tix for Indy.  I'm flying back to Indy from Vegas the day of the show so I'm paranoid that something is going to cause a delay and I won't get back in time.
front row for Queens! ENJOY THE FUCK OUT OF YOURSELF!
    Darwinspeed, all.

It is not just you. This is an outstanding song. As is Fortress, hearing them both live confirmed it. They're special

Fortress is awesome and so is Villains. Spun the vinyl again this past weekend and it sounds great. Definitely noticed a difference from the digital version I streamed all week at work.

It’s a great looking poster. My artist print arrived today. I’m pretty happy I got one, the run of 50 sold out almost immediately.

    • Josh Homme read the kids bedtime story on Cbeebies here in the UK today. He read Zog. Quite surreal.

You've already got what I think are their best two. :)
After that, I think Lullabies to Paralyze is the next best one, then Era Vulgaris (which I think is highly underrated), and then Songs for the Deaf, although I am not a big fan of the radio interludes on that one. It's kind of dated or something? Gimmicky? But other than that, great album..... I mean, I don't think they have a bad album, so really no matter what you get is going to be good IMO, but those are the ones I would recommend first. :) Oh, and word to the wise - There is a REALLY bad reissue of Rated R out there. I just can't remember which version it is. The sound on it is so bad I won't even play it - it's just completely flat. So avoid it - anyone else here remember which reissue that was? Unfortunately I do own it, but I'm not at home.

There’s a Rated R pressing out now that sounds good. I’ve posted in this thread or on of the big vinyl threads what. Has a red outer jacket and there’s something with the UPC, but I don’t remember.

I have the Rated R repress and I think it sounds pretty bad. It’s still noisy after several cleanings. But just ranking the old albums by favorites... self titled, rated r, era and songs for the deaf. Self titled will always be my favorite, it just reminds me of fun times in college. We played the hell out of that cd.

Flying early am tomorrow from CA. I saw that the XX show on Monday got moved. Hope QOTSA doesn't get moved. Planned this whole trip specifically to see a show at Red Rocks for the first time, and planned out all my lodging/travel based on Red Rocks.

I’m going also. Monday was ugly. But most of the snow has already melted. Going to be in the 50s and sunny all day. It’ll be clear at night but prolly in the low 30s. Dress accordingly. But I wouldn’t worry about a cancellation. Gonna be fun.

Man o man, I would take that Red Rocks setlist a million times over in Portland in the next couple weeks.  Really hope they keep opening with Feet Don't Fail Me.  Looks like a great show!

that's funny. I listened to SFTD just last week, and I actually really enjoyed the radio interludes. gives it a concept album feel.

some of my friends who were hardcore queens fans HATED Lullabies, and hated Era Vulgaris even more. I didn't get it. I loved both of those.
    Darwinspeed, all.
