Seeing as how the Wrigley 2016 full show official bootlegs will be released in November, what is the appeal of the LP2 soundtrack?

Like others I remember first purchasing and listening to LO2L back in '98.  Such a great example of live Pearl Jam. I've had it in my car's CD player for the better part of this summer.  But since we have been fortunate enough to have access to official bootlegs since 2000, Live on Ten Legs was an easy pass for me.

A dvd/Blu-ray version of LP2 seems sufficient enough to me.

    Have a good day everyone.

Vinyl I suppose I can understand even if it is not complete, but the CD has very little value. They have to offer it though.. Why not? It is a pretty package of 17 songs in a strange non concert like order. This song selection for the movie or for a commercial release would not have been a "best of" mix for most hardcore fans. Where the complete shows will be the same price or less expensive and will be the same quality and each will be twice as long. Those who are impatient, collectors and completists will still gobble it up.

Don't misunderstand, I will buy one myself with the full understanding that this is a temporary bridge and to have in my collection. lol

It is similar to the PJ20 soundtrack.  the songs were featured in the documentary, I am sure these songs will be the focus of the lets play two doc as well.

I won't be buying the CD soundtrack...
definitely waiting for the boots of the full shows OR the silver pressed discs if/when the 2016 tour boxset is released.
I'm also thinking one...or maybe two of the songs on the Let's Play Two soundtrack might not be from the Wrigley shows.
Wouldn't surprise me if one of the tracks is an acoustic song from the performance on the roof of Murphy's Bleachers.
Stoked to get any live PJ on vinyl!!!

Good point about the Murphy's performance.  That just piqued my anticipation a little more!
  • So pumped for this! Won't be able to make the screenings, but I can't wait to listen on vinyl (and boots) and re-live so many incredible moments.

Agree there's certainly a possibility that a Murphy's track makes it on the soundtrack. And would anybody be surprised if the All the Way is from 2013 with Ernie?

Ten club needs to have something special in the ones we bought here.  How about some random band signed ones!!! (But not random for me, make that happen please)

And just to add to the above... if you pre-order from Norman Records there is a good chance you'll receive it on release day.  I pre-ordered the National's new record from them and it arrived on release day last Friday.

The LP seems oddly pricey everywhere. Only a couple of places have it below £30 in the UK. The album reissues look like they will be around £20 each.

I can't find it up on Rough Trade.

It's pretty cool they are offering up a CD+DVD combo. Wonder if that will be offered here in Canada & the USA.
