I'm thinking Ten Vs. Vitalogy singles reissues
  • I'd love to get Benaroya, Lost Dogs, LO2L eventually.
I had Benny in my cart and waited too long to pull the trigger. Biggest mistake of my life.

A pressing of The Vic would be amazing.

Ha! That's funny you say that. I originally had a comment about mistakes I made in my first would be the biggest mistake for me, but as evident in my avatar...it gave me the best thing.
Most of the mistakes in my life can be attributed to being an untreated manic or depressed fella...so I'd put Benaroya not being ordered as the biggest "of the right frame of mind" mistake. lol

Assuming the 3 LPs will be available at a retail level (i.e. like Amazon) as well? 10c has spooked me over the years into thinking everything is limited!:fearful:

I would expect out of the remaining albums, Lo2L and Lost Dogs have the biggest odds of being reissued.

I'm not sure the band would put effort into reissuing the greatest hits (although I suppose it could make them $$'s for the casual pj fans who don't want to buy 10 albums).    I don't think Benny ever gets a reissue.   It was limited from the get go on purpose as one time release.   The thing was already hard to find a year after it came out.  All the other albums are limited by accident (due to the limited interest in vinyl at the time).

We're all fucked anyways as vinyl collectors, there's no value unless you can find a buyer... and anyone sane won't pay what we feel they're worth!  Just buy the shit, let it collect dust, will it to your kids when you die so they can throw it out! Yahoooooooooweeee where's the Tylenol?!
I'm like an opening band for your mom.
  • Sweet Clark Grizwold nod there.

I'm curious why it matters what they're worth? I have OP of every album and I don't care what they're worth- I'm never selling them. Do you collect to truly collect? Collect in hopes of making some cash one day? Or is it something that you own to enjoy but also has greater monetary value to others.

I'm not saying there's a right answer or that I'll look different of you. I'm just truly curious.

Tough question- I personally love the game involved in tracking down the hard to find presses and desirable ones.  I play pretty much all of them except a few I am either scared of fucking up somehow after too many beers or have kept sealed because I already own a playing copy.  Others I have bought and don't know why I ever did, still others I hope to someday trade or sell for tickets or something.  So I don't know if I've even answered your question, but I'd lean towards your last option.

lately I've most enjoyed picking up albums from bands I've never heard of.  Most are pretty inexpensive but are my most often played albums now.  Marcos Valle, elder, boozoo bajou, brand new, those are a few I've really been enjoying. What about you?

It did occur to me that if I live a long time there might not be many people around that want the stuff I collect, so really, its for me to enjoy during my life.   I collect and spin the vinyl, and enjoy it.... it's a good hobby :)

Seriously?! You'd rather have potential trade value than allow more people to own the vinyl? Seems pretty selfish and anti rock and roll.
