No I think he means the email, stating it was delayed, I received the same email, saying Avocado was delayed.

Exact and sorry for the misunderstanding (due to poor English), I have received an email regarding the delayed release for Avocado but not for the other ones.

Shipping and return are free on amazon.fr for a delivery in France ... I have always thought it was the same for other country ...
Thats sweet, for .ca and the uk amazon you have to pick a reason for return if its not due to damage you have to pay postage.
That isn't my experience with .ca. Return shipping is free no matter what, or at least was for any return I've done, and I've never had a damaged item from Amazon.

I don't know what to say - All I know is that I've returned other things for free, so I guess they aren't following their own policies, or at least not all the time.

Unless there is a very significant sonic upgrade to Binuaral, assuming these are legit, I would only be getting Riot Act (because my copy lp 1 is crazy warped - plays but it makes me dizzy) and Avocado which I do not have on vinyl.

I have all three originals, binaural has a couple scuffs but otherwise all 3 are in good shape. Not sure if I would get the reissues as well. The one thing I would certainly appreciate is if Avocado can be remixed/mastered because it is LOUD and distorted, possibly my least favorite PJ vinyl (with Backspacer for a similar reason).

    Why
I suppose people who are hard up for money might sell them if they can replace them with the cheap reissues? I sure wouldn't, but that's just me.

Of course, an increase of availability with costly originals always happens when a reissue is announced because those who were holding onto them because of the value know that the value is about to go down a fair bit with the reissue, so they hurry to get the thing sold before the reissue is released, hoping to capitalize before it's too late. They start with the usual high price, and then they slowly lower it as they realize they already can't sell it for as much because everyone already knows the reissue is coming, so buying the original at that point would be considered a waste by many.

I think if these were being re-released we would of heard from 10C by now. People see these rumors on the internet and than pre-order. I wish we could get confirmation from 10C sooner then later because I cannot except these rumors as fact until I hear it from 10C. Until than, I could care less about pre-orders on the internet. 10C will have plenty of these to go around if in fact their being re-released.

The OPs will take a hit in 'value' once these are released. Just my opinion. Gone will be the days of people getting $300 for a sealed PJ album.

Agreed. If it is not mentioned in the August newsletter, odds are slim on a 10/6 release.

In the short run yes, but if you keep the OGs they will regain value. Originals will always hold value based on collectibility.

10club could mention it in their September 10th newsletter, being that this bumped again release has been pushed till October 6th.

If vinyl continues to have staying power. Wonder how long?

And even if it does have staying power, the Pearl Jam collector's market will basically die with us, lol. But that is still another 40 years or so of stupid OG vinyl prices! ;)

I did that with No Code/Yield.   Not sure if I'll do it again.   I probably will, but it seems very little benefit in rebuying them.  No Yield/No Code originals have been well played for the past 20 years.. the newer the album the less worn it seems to be, so I don't know if I need reissues as bad.   Maybe binaural.   Riot Act and Avacado still seem in decent shape.
