Boardwalk Hall is a sweet place.  Has dinner at Knife and Fork In, saw the Eagles at Boardwalk Hall, and then won a couple Grand at Caesars before taking a train home.  Was a great night.
I'm sure with Ruth's Chris,The Who, and gaming/booze at Harrah's you should have a blast.
    Enjoy it!
(I looked at that but the wife is traveling so I have the kids solo.)

Hope your hangover is manageable and that you won at Harrah's.  I'm sure the dinner and show were the tits.

    Anyone going?

I read the grumbling above about seeing a show @ FP... and I see that you can upgrade tickets for VIP to get Early Entry GA Pit Ticket.
Does anyone know if they have things partitioned to seperate and keep things from piling up?  Or, do they just have one giant area and if you want to be up front you have to deal with smelly assholes pushing up against you the whole show?

If it is sectioned off, VIP would seem to be worth it.
If not, most assuredly not worth it as I dont want to be a fucking sardine.
I think the VIP is a small grandstand further back and to the side that's roped off, not sure about the pit.
Thanks, here is how it lists so I was thinking they throw you in with the masses, you just get an earlier entry to be closer to the stage.

One (1) general admission pit ticket (with early entry) to see Primus Live
Where do you guys park for penns landing?  Trying to find somewhere cheap to park there for the 311 show on Friday.  Normally wouldn't go but found a very cheap ticket on stubhub for $6.  I usually park near south street but kinda a hike.  I know parking closet is around $20.  Any other suggestions?
I park at Uber.  :)  If we are driving I pay the $20.  Cheaper than Uber.
i would have done the $20 lot but that was full so had to do the $25 lot.  Good show though.  Show started at 7 I got there around 7:45 and got up kinda close.  So a little better than the Gorillaz chaos from a few weeks before hand.  311 still got it I think.

WTF Pete? I have tix to both games next weekend. I know he was far from perfect but now this shit. I wish we could just remember our childhood heroes from when they were in between the lines.
    Alright, alright, alright!

I think the last time they were here they bombed us in a 3 game sweep.
    ...was that '08?
yeah '08 i was at two of those games. Should have gone to Pearl Jam in Camden instead. Phillies are now 1-7 against the Angels all-time. image
    now like 1-10

Duuuuuude, fucking sarcones closed suddenly. At least the 9th street one. Wtf. I have had my words about that place and their bread but wwwhhhhaaattt...

Edit: Just the deli, not the bakery. Got worried for a second. South Philly would be flipped upside down if the bakery closed

RIP Dutch.  Sad. 55 is too young.  '93 will always be one of my favorite Philly sports seasons. What a ride that year was.

Awful. Just a terrible cancer. Unbeatable. Took my old man, Biden's kid, Gary carter, Ted Kennedy and it's what McCain has. A little 7 year old girl from the neighborhood my wife grew up in died a week or so ago from it after a year or so. Just fucking awful.

There's a brain tumor walk in philly in October if anyone's interested

i wish we had a national initiative to put every possible dollar into curing cancer. I wish every philanthropic dollar from people like Bill Gates would be spent trying to find cures.  Maybe Biden cant get his legs behind it and lead us to a cure.  it's just awful. every fucking form of it.  i wouldn't wish it upon anyone even those i might not be fond of.

Anyone going to Roger Waters this week?  Going to the 1st show tonight....trying to determine where to pre-game.  Seems like we always go to 1100 Social.   Was thinking Navy Yards or somewhere just north of the sports complex.
What are the favorite spots here?  (To spend an hour or so having a light meal + some drinks)

Bar Amis replaced Lo Spiedo in the Navy Yard a month or so ago.  No idea how it is though.

    Philadium!

    Or Passyunk. Tons of options.

Yeah I was thinking about checking out the refresh to Lo Spiedo.  Depends what time we get out of here.  Philadium is intriguing, never been there.  I like dive bars but not overly crowded dive bars.  I told my wife there was a shit ton on Passyunk, will see where we end up...was just curious what the local cockasses liked over there.

Biggest hit of his career. Only the third inning but with Maddox on the mound and the way that game was going, you just knew that this  hit would propel them to Toronto. I was 15 and too young to remember 80 and 83 obviously so this was the first time I'd experienced a Philly team going to their sport's championship round and I was beside myself. Love that team and still remember pretty much every game that season starting with opening series in Houston with Bush Sr sitting behind the plate.

RIP Dutch and long live the '93 Phils:
