nope....she got 3 million more votes than tRump.

Russian interference and ignorant Americans are to blame.
Unfortunately, she didn't get enough of them in the right states because we still have the antiquated electoral college.  But maybe it's more about the people who didn't vote than it was about the ones who voted for whom.

If the whole Russian interference thing turns out to be true we will have something to bitch about.  But there are some sharp minds who believe the whole Russian things is simply smoke and mirrors that democrats hang on to rather than face up to having made some poor choices (see photo above, for example).

I'm not saying any of this to piss off my democrat friends here.  You know I lean that way more than republican.  But the democratic party  is in nearly just as much disarray and the sooner that is recognized, the sooner something will be done to make it a strong party again.  Let's start facing reality and stop blaming things we cannot prove.

Peace friends, I'm only trying to help.
It isn't antiquated.  Is free speech antiquated?  Freedom of religion?  Should we have to quarter soldiers in our homes?
Yes, there are still some like yourself who find the electoral college worth hanging on to.  That wasn't my main point.

It is absolutely worth having.  I can't understand why people don't see that.

Nikki Haley said right on the ole TV just about yesterday Russia interfered with the US election, why don't you?

We know Russia hacked Podesta's emails. We know they hacked private Dem strategic playbooks regarding the general election. We know they employed thousands of agents creating fake news stories attacking Clinton. We know they disseminated tens of millions of malicious bots attacking any pro Hillary message on social media.

Clinton was once a popular politician. Yes she had terrible messaging, but the dem convention was a show stopper, and she trounced him in all three debates. Yet, entering election day, her reputation was horrible. All because she wanted to work from home?

My understanding is that we don't know these things for a fact, we suspect them.

What we do know is that many voters stayed home and we do know that Hillary is business as usual with her strong corporate ties which is why many did not support her.  She just was not a strong candidate.

Edit: and none of the uproar about Russia is doing anything to strengthen the democratic party.  If anything, it detracts from that.  If the dems want another republican in the presidency, they are going about ti the right way.

Impeachment. And airing of the PTAPE on all the major networks, including Fox, during prime time with a parental guidance warning. It'll be bigger than Geraldo Rivera's opening of Al Capone's vault or the OJ chase and trial.

    Yea, right.

I'm serious.  The libs are going to have to prove how President Trump was involved in the Russian involvement of giving him the election victory.  That aside, they also need to find a candidate fast that will beat President Trump in the next election.  Russian talk is getting as old and silly as the hitler stuff, untenable to even listen to.

The "libs" don't have to "prove" a thing. Neither does Mueller. All we want is a thorough investigation of Russia's meddling and Trump and his campaign's collusion. I, for one, believe Trump and his campaign colluded with Russia to throw or influence the election to Trump for a quid pro quo and/or because Trump is on a PTAPE. I've accepted that Trump is president but I believe, with Russian assistance, he knowingly stole it via Podesta emails, illegally obtained, and the Russian propagated disinformation campaign, Comet Pizza among others, micro targeted with knowledge and assistance of Trump campaign staff.

We'll see how silly all of this is when indictments are handed down. Anyone heard from Jared, dear boy?

Follow the money, from Russia with love wrapped in a PTAPE, all the way to impeachment.

It isn't antiquated.  Is free speech antiquated?  Freedom of religion?  Should we have to quarter soldiers in our homes?
Should black people be owned and considered 3/5ths of a person?
If you want to argue that the EC isn't antiquated you need a stronger position than "the Constitution is perfect and infallible".

Fancy that. The Constitution has been amended. Guess that opens it up to being amended again, to correct some of the more problematic areas that haven't moved with the times

Fancy that. The Constitution has been amended. Guess that opens it up to being amended again, to correct some of the more problematic areas that haven't moved with the times
I see no problem with it.

Clearly you only care because you lost.

I lost? Fill me in on what I lost, please.

I care about your Constitution for a few reasons that mostly have to do with people who I care about in the US who have to live with some of the more serious consequences of that problematic document.

People who think like this and are given a platform by such as these is another reason.  Get off your ass and cut some grass.
After Western Michigan University rented a crew of 20 goats to clear weeds and brush this summer, AFSCME “filed a grievance contending that the work the goats are doing in a wooded lot is taking away jobs from laid-off union workers,”

    Lots to blame for trump:

    1) People that ignored so many red flags just to elect a non-politician.
    2) The GOP & DNC - they have been ignoring a large group of Americans and focusing on running for office instead of running the country.
    3) Hillary and the democrats that nominated her. She had little chance to win against most candidates. She had been in government soooo long she was exactly what people wanted to vote AGAINST.
    4) Liberal elitists - claiming those that disagree are not as evolved (deplorables).
    5) GOP - allowing trump to take over the party when he isn't much of a republican. Failing to unite to defeat him in the primary.

I bet they would have been happy to cut the grass just fine had they been given the job. I see no fault of the union here. I blame the person who hires goats over human beings with families and mouths to feed. That just seems like the ethical thing to do.

This is why your country will forever be divided.  Blame everyone for being jobless.  No one wants to work.

Where does the article or I ever imply that people don't want to work? It sounds like people were laid off (not their choice) and instead of being hired back- goats were used in the name of cutting costs.

Less than 5% unemployment, basically considered "full employment." Thanks Obama!

Generally, a pretty good summation here, seems to me.  My take on your 5, Cincy:

    1.  Yes.  A growing lack of trust in politicians is well warranted but the protest vote for D.T. is a bit like snubbing the girlfriend or boyfriend you had an argument with by going out with the girl or guy you know damned well is nothing but trouble.

    2.  Yes and both doing so with a distinct lack of quality leadership.  Though I will say, no matter what one's view of his policies, at least Obama showed a good deal of class and acted presidential enough to not make the country look totally ridiculous.

    3.  Yes, and sorry my democrat friends, you know I lean far more democrat than republican- obviously- but Hillary was the wrong choice.  The fact is, way too many who lean democrat saw her as being too "same old business as usual" and in bed with corporate America.

    4. Yes and no.  Liberal elitists can be obnoxious in a "true believer" sense and often are too self-righteous but they do tend to be well educated.  Though they can often be hypocritical about some issues (do as I say not as I do with my wealth), in general are more supportive of environment and social issues.  Many, me included at times, would do well to learn more humility.

On the other end of the spectrum, the far right seem to me to be somewhere between a fly in the ointment and a hot poker up the butt.  They very often have little concern for environment, are more war like, tolerate western fundamentalism far more and quietly want to keep the uneducated from thinking too freely.

    5. Yes.  The GOP, tries to appeal to the worst attributes of conservatism rather than appeal to it's better attributes such as conservation, firm but loving discipline, a more humble form of faith, generosity, and having enough class to not wear flip flops and tired t-shirts to a nice restaurant... or maybe that's just what people on booth sides of the isle do today.  I cringe when I see people dressed like slobs in a decent restaurant.
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
