I consider myself (as I am sure many of you do too) to be a pretty big fan of Pearl Jam. But the majority of the songs listed (aside from Deep and GG - both rock solid, imho) are pretty lousy.

A weakest link poll based on the albums would be interesting with this crazy crew.

In that case I think the competition will be harder between the first five albums, while the last five will be quicky eliminated.
I would only hesitate to eliminate Binaural, which is by far my favourite from the last five.

I love Arc and wish it would be a staple at their shows said no one ever.

I wouldn't have to wait too long to see where I placed.  The only question would be how I stacked up amongst the weakest of the weakest poll.

I'm glad that Johnny Guitar got through round 1, of only so that I could vote it off again. I voted mop last round, but considered Johnny. Don't know what it is. I just really don't like that song. Would gladly keep Red Dot over Johnny any day.

I think that's just it. It's Eddie Vedder song that had no business being on a Pearl Jam album - especially since it had already been released on an Eddie Vedder album! (I tend to give songs like The End and Future Days a little extra rope since they'd never been released prior to their respective albums.)

Did it previously appear on an album? I don't think it did (correct me if I'm wrong, of course).

In any event, Can't Keep is a cool tune (I really like it). Sleeping By Myself has a solid cheese factor going for it.

Compared to Evacuation, Johnny Guitar is a masterpiece!
    “Do not postpone happiness”

“Put yer good money on the sunrise”

Good point but SBM has a quality to it that should never be on a PJ album.  It sounds like it should be played for seventy year olds at a bingo night.

It was part of the unreleased but then later got released  (as Ukulele Songs) in a slightly different form album, so not technically released, but intended as solo song initially

    Evacuation
Evacuation- one of those song for which I have no decent explanation for being a bit repulsed by it.  Certainly is not because it is a bad song, just not for me.
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.
