Just got back from the Pittsburgh show. Jesus was it good, such a great band. Even knowing the setlist ahead of time I wasn't even remotely disappointed. Can't wait 10 years between shows again. Jambi is such a monster live.

    Last night's set list:
    The Grudge
    Parabola
    Schism
    Opiate
    Ænema
    Jambi
    Third Eye
    Danny Carey drum solo
    46&2
    Sweat
    Vicarious
    Stinkfist

They played a bunch from Lateralus.  I was pretty shocked to hear Third Eye.  That was a pleasant surprise.

Maynard was in Riot gear like he was going to fight the walkers in Walking Dead.

Danny played amazing as usual.  Was really looking forward to Right in 2 or Rosetta Stoned to really here him play but I was thoroughly happy with what I got.

Adam is really a damn master with his guitar.  The sounds that he does and doing it live are just amazing.

Justin has some serious chops too.

This band is really tight.  I loved hearing them play live.

The sound started off bad.  Too much base at first.  Midway the sound was dialed in and LOUD.  We moved to the back of the non existent crowd and had a great view and perfect sound.  Wish we would have started off there.

Very little crowd interaction.  Adam and Justin moved around a little bit.  They both seemed to be having a blast.

Mind you this was my FIRST time seeing them.  I've deprived myself from them for a while so I'm not sure what a normal set list is?

I was hoping for quite a few that weren't played.  Third Eye was an absolute treat for me.  I didn't think they played that song?
I'm so damn excited for the Chicago show tomorrow, this review did not help ease the anticipation!

Sounded like a great time, Chris!

Not sure about the last couple of shows but they have been on anywhere between 8:45 and 9:20. In seats by 8:30 and you should be golden.

Bangor was 9:00 pretty much right on the button. Boston was 9:20, but it was a festival schedule, I would disregard that start time.

Pittsburgh show was really awesome!  I've only seen Tool live four times, so not a huge sample size, but Justin seemed more active than the other shows.  Sucks the poster wasn't there.

Chicago show was great last night! Had awesome seats right by Justin and gave a great view of Maynard. Took a pic from my phone right before the show and my buddy took one during.

Key take away from my first time seeing them: DAMN are they a tight band! They are together lock step the whole way thru...even down to Maynard's dance moves. Heavy bass, but that's the norm for Rosemont

    Fantastic flipping show!

Thanks! Ooh man, tough to call...I guess the highlight would have to be AENIMA. Of course, it's the easy layup of a song as far as fandom. But being my first time seeing them, and how many times I listened to that song throughout the years, they absolutely nailed it.

I can't believe how well they pulled off that song along with the rest. Amazing musicians.

Schism and Jambi, close seconds though!

They have mostly all the same stuff with some slight modifications but with the city and date on it as well. Here is the message on the website.

Same images, huh? I have the shirt and sold the poster from St Louis 2016. Same image back then too. We'll, just another variation of it. Not too interested in this if it's the same again.

My wallet is happy that Tool's posters and shirts aren't to my liking.

The PJ posters kill me, and there are fewer & fewer concert shirts that I wear nowadays. I'm sure AF not going to be wearing any shirts or framing any posters displaying two bugs penetrating each other's foreheads.

I've seen them once.  Had my hopes up about as high as anyone could get for a show and it was a huge disappointment.  That's why I vowed never to see them again, but these shows are looking like the show I had hoped for back then!

I just got back from Saint Paul and the show there.  Had a fun time and did the VIP.  I thought the VIP was worth it, but to each their own on that.  I gave my spare ticket to someone who was down on their luck.

I noticed that the security was being really strict about the taking of pictures and videos, so they were out in full force monitoring all that.  Show was good, Danny was on top of things.  Had a fun time there.

I'm surprised security in Bangor wasn't more strict about pictures & video, but that venue was third rate to begin with. I didn't once see security moving through the crowd to regulate anything. It was great for blazing up & snapping a couple of pictures, but people were crowding the aisles & pushing toward the stage, it was a little concerning.

Im used to MUCH tighter security at Maynard's shows.

Are there band signed posters at the merch stands? I would guess you have to be there when the doors open to get one....?

going to edmonton show tomorrow night....
