Hey i would say after the events last night that the no bags thing will be in strict enforcement.  I know that for the one love manchester benefit they said not to bring bags at all as it will slow down the process.  Im coming up and staying in hotel about 5 mins walk away so the offer is there if you wanna meet up and leave your bag at my hotel. But may be worth emailing the venue and asking them maybe

Can't speak for anywhere else but In Amsterdam, if a bag was too large, you had to check it in. They seemed to be enforcing it pretty well.

I would suggest that security will be enforced.
I have bought a bag that fits the requirements, it's much smaller than I would normally take but if it makes things easier then I'm happy. I doubt they will be there with a tape measure but the principle will remain.
If you're worried about your passport then keep it on you rather than in a bag in a cloakroom.
I know they've even been unsure about the tote bags bought at the merch stands and so people have been taking clear plastic bags so the content is clearly visible.

Never understood why anyone needs anything more than an ID, a credit card, their phone/camera, and maybe some cash for a 2-3 hour event?

That's very kind of you thanks. :) hoping it'll be ok though if I can manage to get the day off, then I won't need to be bringing much with me.

Yes but I would add keys, lippie, tissues and my asthma inhaler too! That would be the minimum of what I would bring on a night out anywhere (if I wasn't coming straight from work) and a bag the size they ask for would only fit about three of them lol.

Yes. You get a ticket and have to pick it up when leaving.
