I think the reissue of the LP's is awesome. No reason they shouldn't be available for a reasonable price. I do hope next year they reissue Live on Two Legs, Lost Dogs, and RVM. That would finish it all off nicely.
Love that these will be accessible to all, and the ebay machine can die down for a while, not to mention the waffles that want to return twice the value of a record
Amen!
Agreed!! Those fb waffles are a rip off.
I look at some of them now, and I can't help but laugh. You add up the 'prizes' and include shipping and the value is nowhere near what the # of entries X entry fee. Some of them are absolutely ridiculous. Honestly, the verocity of the raffles have turned me off to the entire merch scene as a whole.
Oh yeah, I remember a few guys trying this with posters over in Lost Dogs some years back. They stood to make much, much more than any of that stuff was 'worth'.
Just got an update in the one raffle group. Fenway Thomas Variant has a buy it now on ebay for $760 so it is alright to raise $730 in revenue from a raffle... Its a joke. I see the same handful of people constantly fishing with these raffles. I have no doubt they obtain high-end items just to launder into more money through those raffles, on the backs of people thinking $30 for a 1/25 chance for a $400 item is somehow worth it... or they have gambling issues and are being preyed upon.

What a scam. People have no idea what they're doing. It's a pyramid scheme!

Actually no. It's more of a lottery than a ponzi scheme.
2/50 chance to win a price. Big time posters too.
Most of them just seem way overvaluated though and the bar keeps getting pushed farther and farther shamefully. A raffle doesnt fill and it is quickly pulled and replaced with a new attempt to fish for people. Raising like 150-200%+ of the expressobeans value. I cant figure out why anyone would spend $35 for 1 2-4% chance to win a $400 poster. The 'house' is taking way too much of a rake. If it were charity, that would be one thing. This is crossing the line to predatory. You see the same few people running 'raffle' after 'raffle'. It reeks of a racket.
What a scam. People have no idea what they're doing. It's a pyramid scheme!
No really, it's more like a 50/50 raffle or a lottery.
Pyramid scheme is when you take investors money and promise high rates of return, but you keep a big chunk of the money, and keep recruiting new people, and use their money to create the illusion of high return for the existing members. The minute you stop taking in new money from new people, the whole thing falls apart, because there's no real money to pay interest or return principal. The entire illusion of return is created by giving out just enough new money to fake high returns, and then you pocket the rest. It's more evil than running a lottery, and only giving out half the take. Here in Canada our government does that all the time
anyone ordered from Japan yet ? I'm considering doing now basically £88 including shipping and import tax
I'm really interested in this too. Is there any way to confirm that these presses are legit as opposed to being bootlegs like the ones that came out a few years ago? From my limited experience with Amazon, they use a lot of vendors, and I've seen bootleg PJ LPs like the Vegas and Atlanta shows on Amazon before. Is there any way to confirm these are legit? It just seems strange to me that they're going to be released at the end of June without any official word from the band. Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I've seen this before all the sites mentioned in previous posts have been taken down, so I just wonder if it is legit,? And Japan ain't following suit yet, Amazon Japan says release date 30th June and I'm due to get delivery 3/5 July. So still time to cancel if needed, also why would be a preorder if it was one of the bootlegs ?
At the moment only the Amazon Japan store is taking orders when every other online store who were taking pre orders in Europe have stopped or taken their pages down.
Haven't heard anything from any North American record store. Not even a official tease.
Preorders can be made on amazon.fr - Binaural, 18.68€ - Riot act, 18.68€ - Pearl jam, 18.68€ - Nothing as it seems, 7.45€ - World Wide Suicide, 7.45€ - Save you, 7.45€ - I am mine, 7.45€ Label = Epic or Epic/Legacy Release date = 30/06

Cancelled my Japan preorder, order from France, ill take a risk
I'm assuming these are legit only because I would hope 10C would notify us that these are bootlegs and to steer clear of buying them.
Wouldn't they announce this if they were coming out in 2 WEEKS?
lol, That is what I am thinking. They would have had pre-orders up for them already, if they are on the same pattern as No Code and Yield. I would be REALLY surprised is anything comes out the 30th.

I agree completely. I find it hard to believe though that 10C would let members purchase items that are bootlegs. They must know reissues are being released and maybe the release date was pushed back.

I would agree. I imagine Sony/Epic can do new pressing of any of the PJ albums they have the rights too. I would imagine they run it by the band though, or if the band wants it done, they can ask Sony to do it.
Maybe it's a sony europe authorized release or something...
