Anyone one looking for a pair of GA for Chicago?
I have 4. Two people backed out. Obviously we would have to meet at the gate. Pm if interested

Just throwing this out there. If anyone is going to the Dallas show and wants to trade their reserved seats for my floor seats let me know what you've got.

Are you sure the floor tix are transferrable? They weren't for the show I attended. There was no option to trade floor tix no matter what. Although I guess I recall someone saying that wasn't the case for every show on the tour.

I just figured we'd meet at the venue but I guess then we'd have the issue of having to get each other in at different gates if there's a separate entrance for GA.

Edit: I guess we could just get ourselves in and then meet up inside. Idk. Might be too complicated.

You can't meet inside because they put the wristband on the GA holders when they enter with their credit card, and they check your wristband at several different points while you make your way down to the floor inside. Also, I witnessed people with seat tickets trying to go in through the GA entrance, and they were turned away, and they were attempting to do exactly what you're attempting to do. Their seat tickets wouldn't scan at that gate at all, in fact, and vice versa for those with floor tix trying to enter at another gate. So that means you couldn't enter with the other people and let them take your GA wristbands while you redirect to the stands with their tickets (even that detour wasn't an option where I went - they had arranged it so that you couldn't even get to seats at all if you entered at the GA gate). Unfortunately, I don't think you have any option to trade your floor tix for this show, period (by design obviously. They locked those GA tix up tight!).

Oh well. Thanks for the info! I was just trying to be a good boyfriend and not make my girlfriend stand for the whole show since she's not a big U2 fan. She'll just have to suck it up haha
If you trust the person, you can just give them your credit card. Get it back at the end of the night. I did this in Vancouver, which in hindsight cost me seeing the opener. I traded seats for floor

I didn't realize they were doing CC entrance for seats too. Were those just for the U2 fan club seats?

Maybe. They were fan club issued.

Don't feel bad, it wasn't a total homecoming, just a sort of homecoming

    new interview with bono below
What's the status of Songs of Experience?
The band will tell you not to listen to me on those kind of matters since I thought it was done last year. But I think the pause has made it better. I will give them that. But if you left it to Edge he'd still be remixing it next year. But we have these songs. The problem is we have 15 songs and to get them down to 12. We don't like long players. The actual track listing is not set yet, but we have some proper, proper fuck-off songs. "Little Things That Give You Away" is one of them.

Ready for them to break the current 'formula' sound wise. The last 3 records have all sounded similar.

Did they? I didn't see they gave it a time frame. I know last Dec, they said maybe this fall. But with the success/expansion of this nostalgia tour, I figured they would push it back to draw a line between the nostalgia and the new.

hopefully when they tour SOE they keep this stage setup (minus the Joshua Tree). Its a killer screen and the stage simplicity is enjoyable.

South America would be awesome!  Already did that run minus Sao Paulo for PJ in 2015 so would know my way around this time!

If anybody by chance has a pair of tickets for the Tampa show Wednesday, pm me! I've been in the search trying not to get gouged.. but it seems impossible at this point if you want a decent seat.

In addition, how has the GA field been for the shows? I figure you can basically see all the theatrics from anywhere, but is it overcrowded?

They have released some side view seats. $70 seats in 215 & 231, listed as Obstructed, presumably cause you will not have a great view of the screen and some higher up $35 seats in 314, 315, 331 & 332.

231 looks not bad to me for the price, you're on the same side as the B stage.

Boy this Joshua Tree box sounds so great on vinyl. It's well pressed, well cut. If people are debating and the stuff on her appeals to you, I highly suggest picking it up.

Got the super deluxe CD boxset as a gift today. Looking forward to listening to all 4 discs. The box is solid quality - the photo book is impressive. They knocked this out of the park IMO.

yeah i saw Metallica there a month ago.  It wasn't that bad, although tix were expensive (around $100).  But metallica is one of my favorite bands so i had to see them.

Saw them last night in Philly. We had floor GA tix for $70 each which was actually a good deal because sight lines were great from the floor, especially with the incredible production and stage set up. Lumineers were actually very good, U2 was as good as I've seen them before. Joshua Tree was fun to hear in sequence.
