I figured it would have sold out by now for sure. Tickets are reasonably priced too.

Soundgarden is playing a festival here in Charlotte. I was hoping for their own show. Oh well...plus side, APC is playing the same day! Some of the other bands playing, just aren't my thing! Too much head banging

Seeing them at a festival in Council Bluffs next week. It will be my 2nd time seeing them and I'm pumped! Tickets to the festival were less than  $50 after fees so it will be good, cheap time!

There were a total of about 2000 people that showed up for their gig in Tampa. It was really sad. Damn venue was almost completely empty.

well, I wouldn't consider Tampa as "the South".

it is it's own thing... they even have problems selling out their NFL stadium.

mostly retirees I would assume. not a big town for a grunge band

SG is not PJ..never more obvious than my attempt to get rid of these SG tix.  PJ covered the southeast last year and it was a success at arenas.

I agree.  Soundgarden was never as big as PJ.   In December of '96 (a few months before the broke up) they were playing the PNE Forum in Vancouver.   It's an old super crappy jr. hockey arena.   Holds about 3500 to 4000.   That's kind of how big they were before they broke up.    Then they got back together and played some bigger venues.   The novelty of not having played for 20 years sold tickets, but now they're back to smaller venues/crowds again.  I think when the first got together they did a show at the arena (and I saw them at the gorge a few nights later).   On the last tour they were back to small venues and playing the Theatre (Queen E theatre which holds 2900 people).

Unfortunately they don't have near the popularity of PJ :(   Not that that's a bad thing.

I also agree that Chris sometimes sounds rough singing soundgarden tunes.   The way his voice has aged definitely lends itself better to his acoustic shows (where he sounds phenomenal) than Soundgarden shows.

If they toured places like NYC, Boston, Philly, and Toronto, they'd have very little difficulty selling out venues of 5000 or more on multiple nights.

    Do it.

    Please!!!!!
