the only album i own is four but it is awesome. he has such a distinctive voice/singing style, and yes...the harmonica is great. also, one of my most fave contemporary christmas songs, christmas, is done by blues traveler. 8-)
    Stay with me...

At the Randall's Island show in '96 John Popper (spelling?) played harmonica with PJ. That was a cool show.

They were much better with Bobby Shehan (their old bassist). In addition they were much better back in the 1990's. They started one of the better festivals, HORDE too. Great band to see live in the 90's

what's really crazy is tha ti got into these guys last like january, and last month I bought a live cd of theirs while record shopping (live at red rocks) and as we walked out i told my buddy i got this blues traveler record and he breaks the news to me that they are playing my hometown 4th of July festival this thursday!!!

Free show in Arlington Heights, IL (bout 25 miles from chicago), a festival I've gone to every year since before i could even talk...can't wait for thursday!

and from what i've heard on their live records, these guys are pretty sweet live.
    It's all happening....

I saw them a few years ago in a small place and they kicked ass. Different than back in the day but so good -- so different if you have yet to hear Popper play that harp and sing.
I didnt start listening to them until Four but quickly realized that Four was the worst out of their first four albums.

Looney Tunes records out here on long island repressed their records on colored vinyl. They might have a few left.
