Grievance or Sleight of Hand should've won.

There's no way SOH is the best song on the album. It's not accessible to a common listener, acquired tastes are good for those who have acquired them, but they don't compare to the universally accepted greats.
Most common doesn't always mean best.
I agree, but most obscure never does.

We're in a poll on a forum full of Pearl Jam nutcases... it's not obscure by any means.

Then again my tastes do always seem to differ completely from what the popular fan base opinion seems to be.

Hahaha yeah we are nutty! This comes down to that distinction of favorite vs best.
SOH is a solid favorite, but it's a poor best.

I think that applies to Light Years too, and I voted for it to win lol

See, I think lyrically SOH is one of the best songs they've ever written. Not just on this album. It's in my top 10 PJ songs. Musically I can see how it wouldn't attract people, it's very somber. But I think it sets the tone of the lyrics beautifully and creates an overall sonic masterpiece.
That raises the good point about favorite vs best. And also, these polls are for the weakest "link" of each album. So, perhaps if you feel a song is great, but doesn't necessarily fit with the rest, that could factor in the votes as well.

I'm really big on lyrics, SOH tells a cohesive story extremely well, and it is great, but "pours himself into his uniform" is the only line that stands out to me as exemplary in it's own right.
Binaural is their best album lyrically, no doubt about it.

Light Years gets my vote between the choices left. A much better song and the Nurnberg performance from '00 is perfection. They really need to slow this song down again and play it proper to showcase how good it is. Maybe you've all forgotten?
    It's a hopeless situation...

Dirty, remember you are voting for the weakest song, so don't vote for your favorite song. Got it? This is only the 25th time we've done this.

    Lol

I picked. This was my 1st strategic vote. It was an anger vote. A vote spawned from mild disappointment.

Neither of these songs is the best two from this album IMO. They're not even in the top five for me. I knew this stretch of albums was going to be interesting and... interesting is what we have.
Same here except I can't bring myself to vote.
    I'm through with screaming

I can't believe that it's this close. I still can't believe these are the 2 finalists but it is was it is...)

@MedozK are you planning on including Lost Dogs? You could do separate polls for each disc, then combine them once it gets down to 5 or 6 from each disc... A lot of work I know, but these polls are a cool idea. Frustrating at times, but fun!

Of the 2 left Insignificance is by far the better song. Going into this poll I really thought either Breakerfall or NAIS would come out on top.
