    This new album is horrible...

    Everyone else seems to disagree.

I like a ton of his stuff. Each song on this album sounds the same though. Maybe my expectations were too high.

Love the new album. Love the ambience/chillout vibe. Glad he did something different from TPAB.

The only tracks I am finding it hard to get into are Loyalty and Lust. I am not saying they are not good, I just don't enjoy them as much as the rest of the songs which are awesome. I've been listening to this album almost every day.

I love Loyalty. A Rihanna feature always makes a song.

Humble came in at #1 on this year's Hottest 100 in Australia.
Love and Loyalty were down the order in the list.
Humble ain't even my favourite track.
DNA, XXX, Feel, God I love more.

    One of the best.

And thankfully he’s not a douche.

I can't get into him.  American rap/hip-hop just doesn't do anything for me anymore.

90's hip hop and sampling is gone now because of lawsuits... Embrace the new and DK Kaled, another one, another one...

I don't believe sampling is gone. If that were the case, Kanye wouldn't have a career.

The difference is that Kanye pays for them wheras Public Enemy and the Beastie Boys did not.

That Grammy's performance was outstanding. Also he was robbed for AOTY.

    Agree.
WTH is the big deal about Bruno Mars?

Hes non threatening to white baby boomers (who are the majority of Grammy voters) who get the sounds from the 70's and 80's that he is mimicking. In a broader sense, people enjoy non confrontational, fun music.

But this album was nowhere as good as his other albums. DAMN. was a masterpiece. The third masterpiece for Kendrick.

    whatever.

I can't stand that 24k magic song. Used to always be on the big screen at the gym I used to go to a year ago.
"I'm a dangerous man with some money in my pocket (keep up)" wtf? Get the fk outta here!
I listened to previews of his songs from that album on iTunes, sounds like a Michael Jackson rip off.
    Grammy's shouldn't be taken seriously.
I'd rather go with what listeners vote for i.e. Triple J's annual hottest 100 here in Australia.
That is how I got into Kendrick, I saw King Kunta came in at #2 in 2015 so I thought, hmmm, it is rare that rap gets so high in the hottest 100 and decided to check it out on YouTube and was blown away and hooked from them on.

There is no denying that Bruno Mars has talent, the man works hard.

It is also no denying what you said, lol.  His music is "safe".

He still is a good performer though.

Not denying the mans talent. He’s had some jams. It’s just clearly not the best AOtY and while I know the Grammys aren’t the end all be all, it’s disappointing to see people get something g so wrong. It’s like them insisting 2+2=5. Or liking Donald Trump.
