    but why are these for sale sealed on eBay for like 50 bucks? that doesn't make sense if there could be colored vinyl inside

    Only the ones from 10c have a chance to be the splatter edition. Most of the ones from ebay are probably from other sources? That and the odds of it being a spatter edition from 10c are pretty slim.
