Wow! Cleveland! I remember seeing a game back when I lived there during the 'Major League' years.

I was surprised by the Red Sox play this year never thought they would play as well as they did. That said they need pitching, pitching and more pitching with more attention to the bullpen.

Thank you BIG PAPI you will remain forever a RED SOX LEGEND.

    Tough end to the year.
The kids did not hit in the playoffs.
Wright and Carson Smith should help with the pitching.
We also have to see if Pomeranz was worn down by innings or if what you saw from him is what you get. I still think he can help.
Lots of relief pitchers on the market, but pretty much no starting pitchers.
I still think they may make another run at Chris Sale via trade.
It would take a real lot though.

you never know with bullpen pitching, because some "under the radar" guys turn out good while other "decorated" veterans regress. you'll be fighting the Giants for your bullpen help.

After last nights game the agents for the 3 pitchers above are even happier now.

even with the meltdown last night, I don't want the Giants to throw a boatload of money and years at any of them. jansen, maybe (if we could get the d**gers stink off him).

Obviously, now that we're all over the agony of Monday night, we're all pulling for Tito's (and Coco's) Tribe in the ALCS, right?

I mean, nobody wants to see a piece of shit like Joey Bats win a World Series, do they? Douchelord deserved every bit of this (and more):image

As for the NLCS, it's a toss-up for me between Dave Roberts' Dodgers and Theo's Cubbies. My decadelong mancrush on Lester--seriously, I'd have that dude's babies!--would tip the scale in the Cubbies' favor except for that my intense hatred for horsefaced hillbilly asshat John Lackey, despite his great comeback performance of 2013, is equal to (or perhaps greater than) my love for Lester.

Knowing how much dickhead Wobbie hates the Dodgers and the fact that they're considered underdogs, it's hard not to pull for them. But wouldn't it be nice to see the Cubbies make it to the World Series again? Win or lose, those games would mean more to baseball lore.

Enjoy watching Chris Sale pitch. So happy the white sox are finally committing to a full rebuild. And so happy they got Moncada.

I think now all they care about is getting the contract off the books so they don't hit the tax.
Someone in the NL will take the contract with the weak SP free agent class.

Well it took a couple of weeks but Clay is finally gone.
Phily took the full contract and even gave us a young 2B.

So we just need someone who can barely win 17 games to put into his spot.

Lots of people around Boston love to bash Price about his post season history, contract and it seems almost anything else.
Last year Price lead the AL in innings, 4th in strike outs and won 17 games.
if he is out for a long time (and it looks that way) this is a crushing blow to the team.

Dr. James Andrews is being consulted.
That most likely means we'll next see Price in June 2018.
    This weekend we rock Portland

Clay Buchholz numbers after 2 games in Philly.
    7 innings - 16 hits - 10 earned runs - 2.59 Whip and 12.27 ERA.
Oh and what a surprise he needs an MRI on his right forearm.
Gosh I don't miss that guy.
Lots of the Boston writers like to bash Dave D for his moves, but this one looks like a home run.
Philly picked up the full contract and even threw in a marginal 2B prospect.
