Saw them Saturday night in Brooklyn, awesome show. Only my second time seeing them live but the Knitting Factory is TINY. New songs sounded great and sounds like they'll tour in support of the new album in 2017.

So i struggled the first few listens but after a few weeks i like it. Their lyrics have always been a tad.... I don't know how to put it but they were fun but never their strength. I felt that is even more glaring on this album.

That said its a fun album and i'm enjoying the hell out of it. Love riding around with the window down blasting this

i dig it, not as much as their previous albums but it rocks. Love Arc of Bar and the title track.

Seeing them next week, pretty pumped for that

and that was a pretty wild/awesome show. got nailed in the chest from a stage diver and in the back of the neck from another crowd surfer. Also got nailed right above the eye which left a nice bruise from another crowd surfer. I survived and apparently can still "hang" in the pit. Although that was probably the worst I've been injured in a concert and I've seen heavier playing bands.

Kinda similar to previous set lists although they did play Heart Sweats which they hadn't played in like 5 years. Also they filmed part of the concert (maybe for a live DVD or something)?

I LOVE this album. It's their best work yet to me. NESW and In a Body Like a Grave in particular are great.

In LA for work next week and gonna go see them. Even solo if I have to.

Both of those are great tunes. "Midnight to Morning" is my favorite track, such a great song. Also, I'd go to Japandroids solo, usually a really cool crowd.

Went Thursday to the show at the Fonda. They were just as awesome as I assumed and heard. Great light show, played tight as hell.

it was for their latest video, "North, East, South, West"
I looked for me in the video but i don't see myself.  Maybe if i paused it at a certain point I would be able to see myself. I was up front for the show.

Another band I'd never bothered looking into until this year. I really love their latest. I'm not as into their back catalogue, yet.

So went to the show last night. A few thoughts.

Saw them in LA early in the year and can't decide which was better. So I'll just assume Japandroids are just always fucking awesome. They literally sound like 20 people are in the band.

They were tight as hell and LOUD. Probably the loudest show I can remember.

Cloud Nothings opened are were great. Check those guys out if you don't know them. Was fairly familiar with them before but will be taking a deeper dive.

Was also my first time at Brooklyn Steel and I'll just go ahead and say that as far as I'm concerned it's the best venue in the city right now (at least in that capacity range). Great sound, great layout, clean (of course it's very new) and great staff.

They just announced two shows in philly, Boot and Saddle, a very small venue/bar.  Holds like 150 people

They actually played 4 nights here in philly.  I went to the third night (last night the 26th).  They didn't really mix up their set lists too much.  Played a few new songs.  The show I went to the crowd wasn't really into it as last time (no stag diving or crowd surfing.  Granted this was in a small venue though).  Some "moshing"  Overall it was fun though, still pretty kick ass live.

They were the surprise opener for the Hold Steady in Asbury Park last night and they fucking brought it. They said it’s there last show for a while (until the next album). I saw them early on for this tour and Brian especially looked road weary. But like I said they left it all on the stage. The two new songs were great also.

And while I’m here The Hold Steady were incredible. Every show is the best party. There is no one like Craig Finn.
